Having discovered the "strange military situation," Yansang called in his friends and soon got a response.
Old Qin's side asked him to set up a temporary teleportation beacon so the rest of the Big Bird Squad could use astral teleportation to reach him. As a veteran player, Yansang had plenty of tools like that, and he quickly built the beacon with the psionic crystal he carried.
The good news was that his brothers would soon arrive with his power armor.
The bad news was that the line of advance escorting the unique insect led straight to Hive Three. They were already close to its perimeter. Once they joined up with Hive Three's guards, the Big Bird Squad might be able to kill the strange insect in a direct assault, but capturing it alive would be extremely difficult.
So, after a moment's thought, Yansang decided to take a dangerous gamble.
He and his friend Student Sis worked together to remove the quad autocannon from the wrecked plane and set up a temporary firing position on nearby high ground. Then Yansang would dash out as bait while Student Sis provided suppressing fire. They had to stop the insects from advancing.
They wouldn't need to hold out for long. A few minutes would be enough for the Big Bird Squad to arrive.
"Hey! You morons! You little punks! Over here!"
Once everything was ready, Yansang leaped out of his hiding place with a halfling grenade launcher in hand and fired toward the front. The precisely placed explosion immediately startled the group of elite insects.
They were tactical. Two stayed behind to guard the strange insect, which had curled up, while the rest rushed toward Yansang.
