The tide was receding, and the icy plain Erys had created was melting away. Before the members of the Dagon cult retreated, the Black Winter Wolf had killed at least seven sea beasts and enjoyed a fine meal of seafood sashimi.
With a legendary creature like that guarding the front line in the docks, the players could finally relax a little. After the front line was routed, the Deep One brutes trapped in the port district became targets for the players to hunt down.
They had won this battle, but far from perfectly.
Because they had underestimated the threat posed by the Deep Ones, the players' casualties in the port district were much higher than expected.
