Brother Bang underwent an examination at home by the "Alpha Medical Team." They hadn't brought many instruments, but their advanced technology was obvious from their appearance and how they worked. The examination took nearly an hour, after which Happy Stick completed a brief psychological assessment under the guidance of the generous young woman who called herself the "chief medical officer."
In the end, they left him a medical report and got ready to leave.
As she was leaving, the short-haired woman in glasses reassured Happy Stick:
"Don't worry, you're in good health. Your brainwave activity is a little too active, but it's still within a healthy range and won't cause any observable aftereffects. If I had to make a recommendation, I'd suggest taking some melatonin before bed for the next few days. That should keep you from dreaming again.
"Also, your cholesterol is a little high. Watch your diet and exercise more. Don't spend every day immersed in the game world."
"Aw, thanks for looking after me!"
Holding his medical report and beaming, Brother Bang saw the medical team out. Then he pulled out his phone and called his "fellow sufferer." Meow Brother was just as baffled.
As soon as the call connected, he asked:
"Brother Bang, did the Alpha Company medical team come examine you too? They just left my place and even gave me a prescription, telling me to take it twice a day. I showed it to a friend who studied medicine, and he said it looked fine.
"But honestly, the way Alpha Company made this all so official has me a little worried."
"What's there to worry about? Isn't this a player perk Brother Fa secured for us?"
Happy Stick wasn't worried in the slightest.
