The next morning, the Cape caravan set out again.
The place where they had been attacked was on the border of Transia, but actually not too far from the forests of Westcoast territory. So, at the young Countess Sharon's orders, some mountain folk riders arrived at the site at sunrise, driving packhorses. They changed the caravan's horses, allowing it to continue toward the planned "industrial zone" in the Andmar Hills.
As the director of the "Transian National First Armory," appointed by Murphy, Loyal Brother naturally had to go along and set up his "precious" production line.
As the nominal ruler of the Andmar Hills, Countess Femis also had to go along and witness the first factory to rise on her lands since the Ten-Year War.
Femis wasn't interested in Countess Sharon's invitation to witness the occasion. In fact, Murphy could tell that the young lady was somewhat reluctant to take part in the ceremony.
When Murphy asked her about it, Femis didn't hide the truth.
In a patch of shade beneath the sun, she pursed her lips and explained to Murphy:
"When Lord Pain helped me complete the Silver Trial, he also taught me how to use the unique power that formed after the Seed of Life was stained with blood. It's my exclusive talent. It's great and powerful, but it has a side effect.
"Whenever I draw on the power of the Bloodstained Seed of Life, I hear Avalon whispering to me. Lord Pain told me it was only an echo from the divine object as it released its power. It didn't mean that the God of Nature was actually watching me, a vampire.
"But you know, it feels awful when there's always some sneaky voice yammering away in your ear!"
The young lady sighed.
"So I think I
