"Stormrush Knights! It is with a heavy heart that I announce a tragic event. One hour ago, the 24th Patrol Squad we sent out to search for refugees was attacked by gnoll bandits on its way back to camp.
The five-man squad, led by Paladin Julio, put up a resolute and valiant defense to protect the civilians. Three of them died in battle, but they succeeded in driving off the bandits. Though the victory came at great cost and was hard-won, it was also glorious. Still, this was an appalling loss."
At a large camp in the Xike fief, Honorary Knight Taipal stood on a crate and sadly announced the terrible news to twenty well-trained "paladins" from the RP faction.
Though not one of these guys was holy, a knight, or even well-trained, when they stood there in their uniformly dyed recruit chainmail, they still looked pretty intimidating.
As Taipal told the knights this "terrible" news, some of the refugees they had rounded up nearby also looked saddened.
They had no idea that players could come back to life just three days after dying. They were simply mourning the deaths of the brave people who had protected them on their way to Scarlet Castle.
Then Taipal's voice suddenly rose. His tone passionate and resolute, he cried:
"Yet we must not overlook the fact that the two surviving members of the heroic 24th Patrol Squad still completed their mission! They safely escorted seventeen homeless refugees to our camp, giving these innocent people the chance to begin new lives.
This is a testament to the creed of the Stormrush Knights, and the will of the Holy Light inspires our warriors to stand firm and never abandon their duty, even when faced with hopeless odds!
Let us give our knights a hearty round
