The new winged cavalrymen recovered the lost grave goods and took out the tomb robbers in one swift stroke. They also won a hefty boost to their reputation among the mountain tribes. Little Count Sherron had saved his family's honor, and by lending out an ancestral weapon, he had also drawn the most prominent player guild's attention to the affairs of the Siko domain.

It was a win-win.

Neither side felt they had lost out. The only one with a few complaints was Happy Stick.

He had been certain he'd get his hands on that Vam Beheader. But construction of the military outpost was already on the agenda, and there was little time left before Maxim and Lord Kudell expected him to set out. He had to leave at once for the Dark Baron's domain to oversee the digging and construction of its defenses.

His Scarlet Hammer-Sickle Corps had only thirty members, despite his army's authorized strength being three hundred. Building up his player legion and improving its training and organization were what Stick Brother needed to worry about next.

He had neither the time nor the energy to stay in the Siko domain for a weapon, even a legendary one.

As Stick Brother and his team disappeared down the road to Scarlet Castle in the dawn light, Meow Brother and his companions had already begun their "new job" in the Ancestral Woods.

Little Count Sherron had given them two assignments.

First, they were to escort representatives chosen by the mountain folk through the forests of the Saxon region and on to the wooded hills along the Plantagenet Kingdom's border, where they would recruit more displaced mountain folk to settle in the Siko domain.

Their second task was to clear the undead from around the ruins of Siko City.
