"Whoa, Madam Shui's husband's pretty strong. He can beat a rookie from the Bloodrat Gang despite having a blank character sheet. Sure, those rookies are basically no different from ordinary people, but he's still doing a lot better than we did when we first entered the game as a bunch of weaklings."
In a private room on the second floor of the East Mountain Residence, a bunch of bored players had gathered around an Orb of Calculation, projecting footage of the scene in the square. The footage came from the perspective of Little Hand, an assassin from the Big Bird Group, who had secretly followed Brother Huo and Brother Yuan and captured the whole thing firsthand.
A-Cha and Muddy Road sat nearby, cracking peanuts as they discussed the scene with beaming smiles.
"Brother Huo might not look particularly handsome at first glance, but just the guts it took to catch a thief in an unfamiliar place, not to mention how well he worked with Brother Yuan, prove that Madam Shui's husband is no ordinary person. Yeah, I suppose I'll accept this 'brother-in-law' of hers."
"Agreed. He's got guts."
Happy Stick, who was busy tallying the number of new recruits at another table, looked up and added his praise.
"Brother Huo isn't like us warriors with class panels and Black Iron stats. Before he acted, he had no idea what kind of danger he might face, but he still went after the thief because he couldn't stand seeing him bully a child.
"That's real courage. You could definitely trust someone like that in real life, too.
"I think Brother Huo might make a name for himself in Transia alongside Madam Shui. I just wonder what class he'll choose."
"What else could it be?"
Old Grease tossed a peanut into his mouth
