Fate Divine Hall.
The Hall Master's room.
A burly, middle-aged man sat on the sofa, slowly sipping a glass of wine.
The Hall Master stood beside him like a servant.
Gray, withered mist swirled around the man.
Only after he had drained a bottle of wine and risen to walk over to the window could one see, as he moved, a pair of pale horns growing from his head, twisted back against his skull.
—The Demon Dragon.
He had come back to life.
"Divine Lord, you've only just been resurrected. You should drink a little less," the Hall Master said softly.
She gazed at the man before her, a trace of fervor in her eyes.
She had collected his corpse and used many precious materials and spells to help him be reborn.
She had never imagined he could truly return from the dead.
Such power was simply too great.
The Demon Dragon noticed the fervor in her eyes and gave a dismissive smile.
"It's fine. I need a little wine. At this critical moment, it helps me stay calm."
"You... seem a little nervous?" the Hall Master asked hesitantly.
The Demon Dragon walked up to the Hall Master and lifted her chin with one hand.
"It's time to discuss business. How did the two tasks I gave you while I was conscious go?"
"Divine Lord, as you instructed, I drained all the power from that Sin Condemning Angel card."
The woman took out a card and handed it to him.
"Divine Lord," she added with an ingratiating smile, "even if those people got their hands on the Sin Condemning Angel card, they probably wouldn't be able to use it. Its power has been completely cut off."
The Demon Dragon took the card from her.
Brilliant light surged across its surface.
