There really were four Brain-Eating Demonic Insects in the Void Storm Cave.
Poison Bee had known this all along. He'd also seen the four layers of "Deprivation" on Gu Qingshan.
The Brain-Eating Demonic Insects could use this ability on only one person at a time.
In other words, this was the best chance—
To kill the four insects.
So Poison Bee went.
He was a "Deathless" Assassin, and quite confident in his own abilities.
He died.
Before Portal Seven, the assassins stared at the pitch-black card in the staff member's hand, momentarily speechless.
It was a life-and-death probe card, capable of sensing the life force of those carrying out a mission.
The card was pure white. Once it turned pitch-black, it meant death.
A "Deathless" Assassin was already an immensely powerful figure. Each one represented a pillar of the Assassin Guild.
"The situation is serious. I have to report this to the Guild immediately," Qin said, her face pale.
She glanced at Gu Qingshan, then sent him a telepathic message. "The higher-up who comes will be a Title-level Assassin. Watch what you say."
Gu Qingshan nodded slightly.
Qin swept a hand through the air, and a densely packed row of names appeared in midair.
She tapped one of them. "Intelligence Chief, it's Qin. Something's happened here."
First came a woman's shrieks and laughter. Then a lazy male voice asked, "What's going on?"
Qin's face flushed. Bracing herself, she said, "The '3+' mission—the one involving the Brain-Eating Demonic Insects. Two 'Sealed' Assassins and one 'Deathless' Assassin have died. Only one 'Sealed' Assassin managed to escape."
The voice on the other end abruptly rose. "What!"
Space flickered.
A bare-chested, black-haired man appeared directly before Portal Seven.
He was extraordinarily beautiful, almost bewitchingly so. He wasn't especially muscular, but his build was well-proportioned.
