"It's getting late. I'll take my leave for now and come see you again next time."
Xiao Die held out her hand. "Give me one of your Communication Talismans."
Gu Qingshan paused, then remembered that she'd once stayed in a cultivation world and even dated a cultivator. Of course she knew how to use a Communication Talisman.
"Just a moment--I haven't used one in ages. Let me find it."
Gu Qingshan rummaged out a Communication Talisman and handed it to her.
Xiao Die took it and stood up as well. "Your abilities are going to be stripped away for a whole day. It might not be safe to wander around alone, so I'll walk you back to the Assassin Guild."
"No need. I should be fine," Gu Qingshan said.
"Don't be careless. Your invisibility technique is impressive, but if you have any other marks on you that attract the attention of some powerful being, things could still go wrong."
As they were talking, a commotion came from the doorway.
The door opened, and a child who looked about five years old walked in.
"Mom, I want to take some snacks back to--"
The child's voice suddenly stopped.
He looked at
