Assassin Advancement Mission
Across the street from the Assassin Guild stood a magnificent, lavish building.
In sheer grandeur, it was in no way inferior to the Assassin Guild. In fact, it was even taller and covered more ground.
After all, the Assassin Guild valued discretion, while this building didn't care about that. It wanted more people to pay attention to it.
The Bounty Hunter Guild.
Assassins usually did only one thing: assassinate.
Unlike the single-minded assassins, bounty hunters took on all kinds of jobs—
Treasure hunting, escorting, exploration, investigating mysteries, theft, and so on. If the bounty was especially generous, hunters didn't mind playing assassin once in a while.
At dusk.
A newly posted job immediately caught the bounty hunters' attention.
Because the reward was exceptionally generous.
"The Desert Area's Fragmented World? There are treasures in a place like that?" someone asked hesitantly.
"Idiot, you must be new. The more desolate a place like that is, the more likely it is to hide secrets no one knows about," another person mocked.
The first man flared up in anger and looked toward the speaker. But when he saw who it was, his fury instantly died, and he couldn't utter another word.
It was a dark-faced man with a fearsome codename and formidable strength.
No matter where you were, strength spoke for itself.
"Too bad. This job requires 'Unfathomable' or 'Undying' rank. There's no chance for me," someone else said regretfully.
"It's not just the rank restriction. You also have to be a professional treasure hunter, with at least ten successful treasure hunts under your belt," a hunter sighed.
"Look at the third requirement: skilled in close-quarters combat, nimble, and no spellcasters, because there may be monsters that can suppress magic..."
"Sounds like only experienced veterans are qualified to take this job."
