In a world of deathly silence and ruin, white light blossomed layer upon layer.
Every infected creature along the way was directly reduced to ash beneath the stain of that sacred radiance.
The orange cat rode the light, racing forward without pause.
Only now and then did it slow down, open its mouth, and eat the snowballs floating in front of it.
Lines of tiny firefly text appeared before its eyes:
"You have devoured a special object: an endless seal of vitality mixed with various plagues." "The power you gain from the seal will be converted into double Soul Power." "Since the plagues are not pure power, they will upset your stomach." "Please note: they will upset your stomach!"
The orange cat's gaze swept over them, remaining cold and unchanged.
To defeat the plague apocalypse, how could we possibly care about a little sacrifice?
"Meow!!!"
The orange cat let out a high-pitched cry and sped up.
Wherever it passed, darkness was swept away, revealing the land's original barrenness and the sky's blue once more.
It crossed the wilderness, leaping back and forth among the mountains;
It flew over vast lakes, wiping out every wandering corpse-monster on abandoned country roads;
On the boundless grasslands, it let the radiance sweep along with the wind. Nothing could stop its advance.
At last, the orange cat reached the edge of a vast desert.
--The plague's core lay deep within this desert.
"Be careful. Last time, I only made it as far as where you are now. I never entered the desert myself." The Chaos Snake King's voice sounded beside its ear.
"Meow."
The orange cat meowed calmly.
Instead of entering the desert directly, it found a secluded spot outside it and began to dig.
Soon, a neat, perfectly shaped hole was finished.
