Mu stood in the center of the hall, the radiance around him growing ever more dazzling.
He walked up to the shattered statue and knelt on one knee, chanting an incantation:
"Glorious Divine Artifacts, I call upon you in the name of the last glimmer of radiance. If you are willing to follow me, then we still have hope."
"If you are not, then when the Radiance Law is utterly destroyed, I will go on alone."
When he finished, he waited in silence.
Several breaths passed, but nothing happened.
Mu sighed and rose to his feet. "All right, then I have no choice but to go alone—"
Before he could finish, the shattered statues suddenly burst apart, turning into specks of golden light that coalesced out of thin air into a golden book.
"The Book of Fate!"
Mu was still a boy, after all; he cried out in delight.
The book opened by itself, revealing line after line of text before him.
Mu quickly read through it, then hugged the book to his chest and turned to Gu Qingshan. "We can leave now."
"What about this holy hall?" Gu Qingshan asked.
Mu patted the book. "It's fine. The Source of Radiance Law is all inside this book. This holy hall is just an empty shell now, useful only for temporarily misleading those Law Beasts."
He grabbed Gu Qingshan with one hand, opened the book with the other, and recited, "Return to the Mortal Realm!"
The golden book erupted with a burst of light, enveloping them both.
In an instant, the two vanished from where they stood.
