A vast, faceless visage woven from black threads lowered its gaze toward Reneedol.
"You can rest assured," Lachesis said. "I won't hurt you. I'll only show you your past."
At her gesture, the giant face dissolved into a mass of shadow, completely enveloping them both.
"Soon, you'll be able to see the memories we share," Lachesis said.
Reneedol watched her hesitantly.
Lachesis looked weary as she continued, "Poor little sister, you've even forgotten how to use the power of fate. In a little while, the apocalypse will keep erupting. If you don't awaken those memories soon, you won't survive."
The shadows around them shifted, gradually transforming into a bright and beautiful scene.
Reneedol couldn't help asking, "Why are you so determined to make me remember the past?"
Lachesis's lips moved. "Because you need power, and I need your help. Otherwise, neither of us will survive."
