In the dark Void Turbulence.
A twisted space, dozens of meters in diameter, suddenly appeared.
Snap—
The fragments of space cracked apart, and a person emerged.
Gu Qingshan.
"Safe," he said quietly.
A mass of black fire flew from his body and coalesced into Black Dog.
"Are we in the Void Turbulence? What time is it?" Oldest asked.
"I'm not sure. Anyway, it's some point in the future," Gu Qingshan replied.
The two of them gazed into the surrounding darkness.
Everything in the void was murky and indistinct. Only the wind blew without pause, occasionally carrying the wreckage of something off into the distance.
Wait—
"Look!" Gu Qingshan said under his breath.
"Yeah, I see it," Oldest replied.
In the distance, countless bodies drifted through the darkness.
Apart from the patch of void where they stood, every direction was filled with the corpses of all kinds of beings.
A string of Dark Flames suddenly shot up around Gu Qingshan, completely beyond his control.
Oldest glanced at him and said,
"So many beings have died that your power of the Law of Death has grown stronger than ever, surpassing the power of your Cultivation Side."
Gu Qingshan's expression was grave. "The power of the Law of Death is telling me that hardly anyone is still alive in this entire Void Turbulence. We need to find someone and ask what's going on."
Oldest took out the Book of Fate and flipped through it repeatedly, finally stopping at a certain page.
The page showed an island.
A faint halo surrounded it, seemingly some sort of barrier. The corpses drifting outside couldn't get anywhere near the island.
"It's about a hundred miles east of us. Strange... This place seems close to the Doomsday Graveyard," Oldest mused.
"Come on. Let's take a look," Gu Qingshan
