The sun was setting.
Lola sat on Gu Qingshan's shoulder as the two of them walked toward the setting sun.
"Ah, Gu Qingshan, this is so delicious!"
She waved the big handful of meat skewers in her hand and said excitedly,
"It'd be even better with beer, but we have a lot to deal with right now, so we can't drink for the time being."
As he spoke, Gu Qingshan handed Lola a can of juice.
Now and then, meteors streaked across the sky.
But they were far away from the two of them and didn't fall in front of them again.
"If only another sheep or chicken or something would show up."
"That's okay. I have lots of delicious food here."
"Wow, Gu Qingshan, I knew following you would be wonderful. Big Sister Anna really has an eye for people."
"..."
--It would take five days to leave this World System.
If they ran into a lone Qualification Contender, it wouldn't be much of a problem. They could either fight or run.
--If you couldn't beat them, couldn't you just run?
But what if they ran into an organized group? What should he do then?
For some inexplicable reason, the thought surfaced in Gu Qingshan's mind.
He paused, then continued walking.
"Wow, Gu Qingshan, look how beautiful the sunset is! Should we run toward it?" Lola asked excitedly.
"Sure." Gu Qingshan snapped back to his senses and replied.
Never mind. He'd take things as they came.
This world was astonishingly vast. His divine sense couldn't find its boundaries at all. Surely it wouldn't be such a coincidence that he and Lola ran into a group of Qualification Contenders.
Gu Qingshan broke into a run toward the sunset.
Lola's cheers rang out from his shoulder.
"Charge!"
Wilderness.
Still wilderness.
