End-of-Volume Note
The Abyss Chapter is about to end.
A lot happened in this volume.
I have to admit, this is a huge story, with a vast cast and a tangled jumble of events. The powers of all kinds of sides are dazzling, and many people's stories lie hidden beyond the main plot—
while I have to keep a firm grip on the main thread and can't delve too deeply into everything else.
There's no helping it. After all, any character who can enter the story at this point is no small fry.
And I only write books part-time, so I can only keep up with Gu Qingshan.
In this volume,
the powers went from Chaos and Order, to "sides," and then to "worlds";
the characters went from humans to fairies, dragons, giants, monsters, apocalypses, spirits, and even the unknowable;
the worlds went from broken fragments to an established system, from the Six Paths to the sealed away, and then to "phases";
time went from the present to the distant past of the Ancient Era, and even to Su Xue'er, who came from the future;
and the cast was even more dazzling.
—To be honest, even I felt the story was too vast as I wrote it. But I could only keep going, because that's how the world is built.
Fortunately,
this huge, tangled volume is finally nearing its end.
After taking a breather, I thought it over for a long time. In the end, I decided to write a little more slowly.
Partly because I need to think carefully about the next volume, and partly because I'm in Hubei—and the situation here is rather serious right now. All I can say is that I hope everything gets better soon.
As for the story ahead, well—
Writing faster would certainly
