"We've been flying for almost a whole day. Just how high is this mountain?"
"This mountain is called Heaven Reaching Mountain. I don't know how much longer we'll have to fly before we reach the top."
The gale howled without pause.
Gu Qingshan flew upward along the ten-thousand-zhang cliff.
From the darkness below came the harsh, unrelenting sound of scraping and crashing.
—the monster was racing up the mountainside after them.
"Careful. It's finally about to catch up with us."

Gu Qingshan clapped his hands and shouted, "All of you, go!"
Skeletons kept emerging from the void behind him, weapons in hand as they plunged downward.
Below.
The distant thunder of all kinds of battle echoed up.
Time passed slowly.
About fifteen minutes later, all the sounds of fighting vanished.
The monster regained its incredible speed and steadily closed in on Gu Qingshan.
Li An fretted, "You're flying upward, and those skeletons are out of your control. They can't hold that monster back with all their strength. What now?"
Gu Qingshan said, "Now I'm going to hold it back for real."
He drew a long saber from his waist.
—the saber had long since broken in half,
