The Black Cat ran ahead.
Gu Qingshan carried Ye Ruxi on his back, following close behind.
The way ahead was still wide open. As far as the eye could see, it was desolate; not a single building was in sight.
As they ran, the Black Cat suddenly slowed down.
"What is it?" Gu Qingshan asked.
The Black Cat stopped and stretched out a paw toward the empty space before it. "Meow!"
A look of surprise crossed Gu Qingshan's face.
He reached out and touched the empty space.
There was clearly nothing there, yet his fingers found a handle.
—Only the Black Cat could find this place. No one else would have stood a chance.
Gu Qingshan kept feeling around, and soon touched a cold metal surface, like a door.
"Can't get it open?" He looked at the Black Cat.
The Black Cat let out a disdainful meow.
Gu Qingshan lowered his head and tugged hard on the handle.
—He couldn't feel any especially powerful force, but he still couldn't open it.
"Whew—it won't budge," Gu Qingshan said.
"Meow, meow?"
The Black Cat narrowed its eyes and gave a soft, disdainful cry.
Gu Qingshan raised an eyebrow and placed his hand on the handle, feeling it carefully.
The material was very hard.
The construction was intricate.
There was some fluctuation of power, but it wasn't very strong.
Whoever had managed to reach this place and set up a hidden handle and door had already accomplished something incredibly difficult.
After all, everyone's strength was still sealed.
Gu Qingshan drew a deep breath and focused his mind.
