Solve the Crisis!
The monsters were growing more numerous.
Whether insects, beasts, birds, fish, or anything else, anything touched by the Purple Mist immediately turned into a monster that knew only destruction.
Yu led her people far away from the Ice and Snow Forest. After trekking through the cold rain for a day and a night, they finally reached the foot of the mountains upstream.
They had faced countless dangers along the way. Fortunately, she had that card: whenever they encountered a powerful monster, she could send it straight to the Phase World. That was how they had managed to cross the jungle.
On the mountain.
"We've finally arrived."
Yu breathed a sigh of relief, put away the card, and strode toward a secluded cave.
This was another camp, one they didn't normally use. The Ape-men only came here to shelter from wind and snow before winter.
Winter was not far off.
The Ape-men had started storing food here long ago, preparing for the winter.
That was fortunate.
Yu entered the cave first and made a circuit to ensure it was safe before letting everyone file inside.
The Ape-men looked as though a great weight had been lifted from their shoulders. They hurried into the cave, escaping the cold rain outside.
They lit a fire, boiled water, cooked food, and dried their clothes. At last, they settled in.
Yu climbed onto a large rock and looked around at everyone.
"The situation is urgent. We must save this world—only by saving this world can we save ourselves," she called out.
The Ape-men stared at her in confusion.
The Former Clan Leader stepped forward and said softly, "Daughter, we can't defeat those monsters."
Yu's face paled.
She had already checked: the food stored in the cave would only last them five days.
