All the figures scattered in every direction, crossing the sky in an instant and crashing down upon the land.
"What are you doing!" the woman asked warily.
She turned to look down at the land.
In the mountains and forests, a figure landed among the trees and reached out to grab a venomous snake from a branch.
"Heeheehee, so this is a kind of poisonous power... It can make life approach destruction in agony..."
The figure laughed. Green mist suddenly poured from its body, sweeping away in every direction.
The beasts scattered throughout the mountains and forests convulsed as soon as the green mist touched them, dying in unbearable agony.
With every beast that died, the figure became more solid, its features taking shape.
Slit pupils, scaly skin, a long tongue.
—It looked like a snake, yet bore the outline of a human.
"I am Apocalypse."
"All life will be destroyed because of me!"
The figure spoke, flicking its tongue.
Another figure landed in the middle of a great city. It waited a few moments, then summoned a ball of fire with a wave of its hand.
"Life loves fire... yet fire can destroy life with the greatest of ease."
Boom—
The figure abruptly transformed into a monster wreathed in flames and charged toward a building.
It plunged into the building and quickly passed straight through, reappearing on the other side.
The building had become a charred ruin.
The figure, however, grew clearer, its shape and features coming into view.
Horns, fiery eyes, four claws, a human torso.
"From this moment on, I am Apocalypse Fire."
The monster declared its name.
