Ye Feili was a former Federation citizen whose Heaven Chosen evolution turned him into a Killer Ghost. His condition compelled him to kill daily, made his body visibly inhuman, and isolated him from normal society. Unlike other Killer Ghosts, he retained his memories and emotions, especially his attachment to his mother. 135 136

Gu Qingshan and Zhang Yinghao recruited him by offering a way to protect and treat his gravely ill mother. Ye Feili accepted after Gu Qingshan arranged for the Goddess of Justice to save her life and provide her with noble-level support. 136

Gu Qingshan later created a close-fitting Mobile Armor for him, allowing him to conceal his identity. Ye Feili proposed replacing its ordinary helmet with a frightening puppet-clown design, creating the public persona of the Slaughter Clown. 182 183
