Now that Hao Shuai knew he had such an outrageously talented gene researcher working for him, he naturally made full use of his abilities and promptly brought Dr. Wu to the MonsterVerse.

Just look at how excited Dr. Wu had been ever since he arrived on Skull Island. He was like a mouse that had fallen into a rice jar.
Dr. Wu was excited, all right, but the creatures on Skull Island were the ones suffering.
Any species unique to Skull Island was doomed to end up in his lab. Even Kong hadn't been spared. If Hao Shuai hadn't stopped him, Dr. Wu would have tried dissecting Kong for research.
Kong had eventually escaped the lab, but Dr. Wu had still managed to collect a whole barrel of his blood and a large chunk of flesh from his butt.
So whenever Kong saw Dr. Wu, he immediately turned tail and ran.
Now that Dr. Wu knew Hao Shuai had brought Godzilla back, he naturally came running over again.
"I knew you'd want it. Here, take it," Hao Shuai said with a smile.
With a wave of his hand, several wooden barrels appeared at his feet. They contained tissue samples and blood from Godzilla, which Hao Shuai had collected after Godzilla was injured earlier.
"Thank you, Boss." Dr. Wu excitedly directed the robots to carry the barrels to his lab. Hao Shuai had thought he would rush off to start his research, but instead, he asked, "Boss, how's the exploration of the Hollow Earth passage going?"
"We haven't started yet." Hao Shuai stared at Dr. Wu, at a loss for words. "Are the creatures on Skull Island not enough for you to study?
