When Strange arrived at the teahouse, looking completely bewildered after being led there by Mordo, the first thing that caught his eye was the figure inside.
He wore a black Daoist robe edged in gold, exquisite and ornate, which set off his broad, upright, perfectly proportioned build. His sharp brows and bright eyes framed a pair of dark, alert pupils as deep and luminous as the starry sky.
Strange didn't know how to describe the man before him. He only knew that, sitting there quietly, the man radiated an invisible presence. His elegance was unmatched, and Strange found himself unable to look away.
"This is the Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj," Mordo said, stepping forward to introduce him while Strange stood there in a daze.
"You're... the master of this place?" Strange asked quietly, eyeing the handsome young man before him with uncertainty.
He knew it was rude to ask, but he simply couldn't reconcile this outrageously handsome young man with the gray-haired, heavily bearded sorcerer he'd imagined.
"Have a seat and drink some tea, Strange." The handsome young man gestured for him to sit, then poured him a cup. "You can call me Hao Shuai, or just Sorcerer. And yes, I am the master of this place."
"Oh... I'm sorry, Sorcerer." Embarrassed, Strange picked up the cup and drained it in one go.
As the tea went down, Strange immediately felt a warm current flow through his internal organs. His whole body relaxed, and the fatigue drained away.
"The tea's decent, isn't it?" The young man—Hao Shuai—smiled. "It was the previous Sorcerer Supreme's favorite."
"Thank you. The tea is delicious." After thanking him, Strange asked eagerly, "I heard you can heal my hands and make me normal again. Is that true?"
