Pandian Antigo, New Mexico.

In the pitch-black night, countless stars dotted the sky like jewels scattered across a dark canopy.

The free wind carried a wild, untamed air as it swept over endless dunes, letting out a deep, drawn-out howl as though recounting an ancient tale.

This vast, desolate land held the weight of time and history.

An SUV was parked in the middle of the boundless desert, its front and rear lights blazing and illuminating the darkness around it.

Inside were Dr. Jane Foster, her student Daisy Lewis, and Dr. Erik Selvig, observing the heavens.

Suddenly, the quiet desert was engulfed by a raging wind.

Sand filled the sky, swept up into a towering column that reached from earth to heaven.

Seven-colored light flickered in its center like a pillar of light connecting earth and sky.

"BOOM!!!"

Amid a clap of thunder, a meteor-like object fell from the sky and crashed into a stretch of wilderness.

A dazzling burst of flame erupted.

"Jane, didn't you say it was just a faint aurora?" Selvig asked in shock, staring at the sky.

"Go!" Jane Foster was in no position to answer Selvig. She was busy urging Daisy to drive toward the object's landing site.

"BOOM!!!"

Just as they were about to reach the scene, another object fell from the sky, landing not far from their vehicle.

The tremendous impact startled Daisy so badly that she swerved the steering wheel, trying to get them out of there.

"Daisy, what are you doing?" Jane Foster cried.

"I'm not dying for six credits!" Daisy had her head on straight.

"No! We finally got a chance like this!" Jane Foster, who valued science over her own life, immediately leaned over to wrestle the steering wheel back.

The two of them struggled over it.

"Help!!"
