Sure Enough, Big and Round

"Did you come to the desert looking for treasure?" the owner asked casually.

"Treasure? Isn't the desert nothing but sand? What damn treasure could there be?"

As Hao Shuai's first time in the desert, the initial novelty had worn off by the time they reached the hotel, leaving him listless and exhausted. Thankfully, after a shower and a brief rest, he recovered a little. Hearing the owner's question now, he immediately snapped back.

"Then I won't disturb your meal." Hao Shuai's sharp tongue drove the owner away.

"Boss, please don't be angry. My friend's been a little hot-tempered lately, but he's actually a good person."

Jack hurriedly tried to smooth things over.

"Though he shouldn't take his temper out on others, this owner isn't a good person either. He's greedy too, and tomorrow he'll sell us out. Looks like I can't spare him a little renovation tonight."

As Hao Shuai mulled things over, he shoveled food into his mouth. Ada and Elsa's usual bickering rang in his ears, and when Hao Shuai finally came back to himself, he found that everyone had left.

Hao Shuai ordered several more dishes from the owner. Ever since he began practicing National Martial Arts, his appetite had become astonishing. Normally, he did not dare eat his fill in front of Jack and the others for fear of scaring them. Now that they were gone, he naturally intended to feast.

After Hao Shuai finished off all the food and prepared to return to his room, he had just reached the door when he saw a disguised Elsa standing outside Ada's room, about to push the door open.

Hao Shuai called out to her. "What are you doing? Why are you dressed like that?"

"I came over to take a look, but Jack and the others kicked me out. I think Jack and the others are being threatened, so I disguised myself to bring them weapons." Elsa wore the idiotic expression of someone waiting to be praised for being clever.

"Fine. Go in first and draw their attention. I'll ambush them at the door, then work with Jack from inside and outside to deal with them." Hao Shuai thought for a moment before speaking.

When Elsa, that pig teammate, opened the door, she saw Jack and the bandits sprawled on the floor by the entrance, with one of the bandits pointing a gun at her.

Seeing the gun aimed at her, Elsa screamed and jumped behind Hao Shuai, exposing him.

Inside the room, Hao Shuai and the other three stood in a row while two bandits pointed their guns at them.

"We don't want to hurt anyone. Hand over the map and the key," Bandit A said.

"I really don't have them. You already searched my room. Do I look like I'm lying? If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do..." Ada defended herself.

Hao Shuai knew the exciting scene was about to begin. If not for this scene, he would have killed the two bandits long ago. Besides, he had already set up a layer of telekinesis in front of the four of them, so he was not afraid of the bandits firing.

While Ada argued with the bandits, pig teammate Elsa exchanged a series of looks with Jack, then suddenly yanked away Ada's bath towel. Hao Shuai took the chance to sneak several glances, thinking, Sure enough, so white and so big. Early-era actresses really were dedicated! They sacrificed what needed sacrificing. Of course, Hao Shuai only treated it as a feast for the eyes. He had no interest in Ada herself; she was not his type.

While admiring the whiteness and fullness, Hao Shuai secretly controlled a wooden stick on the floor and knocked Bandit A's pistol away. He lunged forward, grabbed Bandit B's gun with his left hand, knocked it aside with a hand interception using his right, and began fighting Bandit B.

Jack also reacted at that moment, rushing forward to kick away the gun on the floor before throwing a punch at Bandit A.

With the two bandits entangled by Hao Shuai and Jack, Ada and Elsa quickly grabbed the key and ran out of the room.

Seeing this, the two bandits abandoned Hao Shuai and the others to chase after them.

When Hao Shuai and Jack ran out, they happened to see Ada throw the key onto a thatched roof. "Jack, this is bad! The key fell over there! Hurry and think of something!" Elsa called anxiously to Jack.

"Don't panic. Whatever you do, don't jump down there—it'll collapse!" Jack hurriedly warned them as he prepared to jump down himself.

The mercenaries, however, did not care about that. The mercenary beside Ada climbed over the railing and jumped down at the same time as Jack.

His luck did not seem very good. The moment he stepped onto the thatched roof, he fell straight through, while Jack was lucky enough to land on top of it.

Hao Shuai, who had followed them out, looked sympathetically at Bandit A as he fell through. That had to hurt. Hao Shuai could only offer him a moment of silent sympathy.

Jack, who had landed below, let out a breath and prepared to slowly move over to retrieve the key. He was extremely careful now; one wrong move, and he would end up like that bandit.

"Ah! Jack, this is bad! Those bad guys are coming over!" Elsa cried anxiously when she saw Bandit B approaching.

At this moment, Ada, one of the great masters of courting death and dragging teammates down with her, had forgotten Jack's earlier warning.

"Oh, you're so useless. I'll do it." Ada walked over beside Elsa, stretched out one leg, and prepared to squeeze through the gap in the railing.

"Hey, what are you doing? Don't come down!" Jack shouted in terror when he saw Ada preparing to get herself killed and take him with her.

"Honestly, you're so slow. Stay there and don't move. Let me..." Before she could finish, the thatched roof gave way with a CRASH, taking the two of them down with it.

"Wow, so big, so white. I could look at that forever." Hao Shuai sighed as he looked at the bath towel clutched in Elsa's hand.

At that moment, the door behind Elsa opened, and the hotel owner came out holding a machine gun. "Don't be afraid, I'm here! Where are the thieves?"

Elsa's eyes lit up when she saw the machine gun in the owner's hands. "There! Those two! Shoot them! Hurry and shoot! My friends are still down there!"

The owner held out his hand to Elsa. "Money. No money, no shoot."

Impatiently, Elsa pulled out a wad of cash from her pocket and placed it before him. "Here."

"Deal." The owner snatched up the money, then handed the machine gun to Elsa. "You shoot it yourself. I sold it to you outright."

Elsa took the gun with a blank look, still unable to process what had happened. Then she saw the two bandits preparing to approach Jack and Ada, and in her agitation, she pulled the trigger.

Gunfire immediately erupted throughout the hotel as bullets sprayed everywhere. Unable to control the machine gun's recoil, Elsa began firing wildly.

The instant she opened fire, Hao Shuai wisely ducked behind a pillar and placed a layer of telekinesis in front of himself just in case. Better a dead fellow cultivator than a dead me. Whatever happens, happens.

Seeing that things were hopeless, the two bandits crashed through a door and fled amid the gunfire.

Before long, the gunfire stopped, and Hao Shuai and the owner behind the pillar opposite cautiously poked their heads out from behind Elsa.

"How was that? Pretty powerful, right?" Before the owner could finish celebrating, he saw the hotel reduced to a complete mess and immediately burst into tears.

Watching the unscrupulous owner pay a painful price for his greed, Hao Shuai silently gave Elsa a thumbs-up in his heart.

Jack and Ada came out from downstairs and saw the result. Jack immediately gave Elsa a thumbs-up.

Thrilled by the praise, pig teammate Elsa got carried away and accidentally pulled the trigger again.

The gunfire roared once more, and everyone fled in panic with their heads covered.

Afterward, the group returned to their rooms to recover for a while, then went to rest.

Only the devastated owner remained behind, grieving over his losses.
