Early the next morning, Hao Shuai left West City with Oolong in a hovercraft without saying goodbye to Bulma.
Poor Oolong. Ever since arriving in West City, Hao Shuai and Bulma had never called him along when they went out to eat, drink, and have fun, yet they had never left him out when there was work to do.
And now, so early in the morning, Hao Shuai had dragged him out of bed to pilot the aircraft.
They flew westward. After two days of travel, they finally saw the totem-like pillar rising from the forest and piercing the clouds, just as Master Roshi's directions had described.
"Korin Tower! We finally made it!" Looking at the towering structure whose top was completely invisible in the clouds, Hao Shuai had Oolong find a place to land.
After getting off the aircraft, Hao Shuai sent Oolong back to West City first. When he reached the base of Korin Tower, he saw a tent set up there. The people living inside were probably Bora and his son Upa, the guardians of Korin Tower.
Just then, two figures—one large and one small—walked out of the tent in Native American tribal clothing. They were indeed Bora and his son Upa.
"Who are you? Why have you come to Korin Tower?" asked Bora, who was at least three meters tall.
"My name is Hao Shuai. I want to go up Korin Tower to meet Senzu Bean!" Hao Shuai said with a smile.
"You want to climb Korin Tower?" Bora sized Hao Shuai up.
"Korin Tower is incredibly high. Many people have given up halfway and fallen to their deaths. Unless you can defeat me—Bora, the guardian of Korin Tower—you'll certainly die if you try to climb it! For the sake of your life, I can't let
