"Enough! You shrew who brings ruin to the country!" Hao Shuai barked, cutting Ziyuan off. He looked at her with utter disdain and disgust.
He despised people like her, who were always claiming the moral high ground and using one excuse or another to speak for the whole world and justify their actions.
Who did she think she was?
How could one person speak for the whole world?
Was she not afraid of being struck dead by lightning?
Ziyuan's actions made Hao Shuai feel sick, as if someone had force-fed him shit.
The last time he'd felt that way was in the Great Tang World, when he'd encountered a sect that loved to claim it was acting in the name of heaven and choosing the emperor on heaven's behalf.
In the end, Hao Shuai had completely transformed that sect into a famous entertainment venue in the Great Tang.
He hadn't expected that after coming to the Mummy World, in the twentieth century no less, he'd hear someone say something like that again. And compared to the other sect, Ziyuan's actions seemed even more insane and self-righteous.
At that moment, Hao Shuai had a powerful urge to rip Ziyuan's soul from her body and torture her for all eternity.
In the end, he decided that since she had once been one of the First Emperor's people, he should let the emperor deal with her himself, and gave up on the idea.
"Is this woman Guo Ming's bastard?" the First Emperor asked, pointing at Guo Lin.
Compared to the First Emperor, Hao Shuai's ability to keep his composure was a little lacking. The First Emperor didn't even bother responding to Ziyuan's nonstop verbal abuse. Instead, he turned his attention to Guo Lin, who was cowering behind her.
"That's right," Hao Shuai confirmed.
