On the Queen Anne's Revenge at the front of the fleet
"Boss, this isn't working. Maybe we should bring the Emperor into the fight?" Barbossa suggested to Hao Shuai, looking at the low morale among their men.
"Yeah, yeah!" Jack, who had been forcibly brought aboard, nodded emphatically.
Hao Shuai looked straight ahead and shook his head. "We'll bring the Emperor into the fight later. For now, let's deal with Davy Jones and his little pet!"
Barbossa was startled by Hao Shuai's words. "Davy Jones's Flying Dutchman is here too—"
"SPLASH!"
Before Barbossa could finish, a warship suddenly leapt out of the sea nearby. It looked battered and rotten, covered in barnacles and seaweed, slick with moisture, and constantly giving off a foul stench.
As soon as it emerged, a great deal of water streamed off its hull. It was the Flying Dutchman—the only ship that could dive beneath the waves in defiance of the laws of nature and lie in wait for its enemies.
"Full speed ahead! Prepare to board!" Hao Shuai knew the Flying Dutchman was a ghost ship. Ordinary cannonballs couldn't sink it, and it could even repair itself, so he decisively chose to board it.
As it happened, Davy Jones had the same idea.
"Hmm..."
Just as the two ships were about to meet, Hao Shuai turned and looked toward the fleet behind him.
Beneath the deep blue sea, currents surged. A massive shadow slipped through the seemingly calm waters, heading straight for the pirate fleet behind Hao Shuai.
"Boss, what's wrong?" Barbossa asked.
"A big pet has come to visit the pirates," Hao Shuai replied calmly.
As soon as he finished speaking, water suddenly splashed into the air. A gigantic tentacle burst through the surface, covered in countless suckers, each lined with sharp, backward-facing hooks.
