~~ "By the way~~these are the treasures I was holding for you. Now they're back where they belong." Hao Shuai had no time to care about an old man's feelings. He took a large chest of treasure out of his space and set it on the deck.
Barbossa: "..."
Though he'd followed Hao Shuai for a little while and had gained some understanding of his shamelessness, it wasn't until he faced it firsthand that Barbossa realized just how badly he'd underestimated Hao Shuai's lack of shame.
Damn it!
There'd been a whole cave full of treasure, and he'd only returned one chest!!
What kind of person would do that~~
"Thank you, boss!!" Barbossa might have been grumbling inside, but he didn't dare voice a complaint. He even had to put on a grateful smile, or, knowing Hao Shuai, even this one chest might get "held" again.
"No need to thank me. I've always been an honest and trustworthy person." Hao Shuai waved a hand, humbly adding, "I'm off. You can get back to your promising career as pirates."
With that, Hao Shuai returned to the Emperor under Barbossa and the others' watchful eyes.
When he got back aboard the Emperor, he saw Jack still hanging around on his ship. Curious, he asked, "Didn't I tell you to leave earlier? What, you don't want the Black Pearl anymore? Then I'll take it back!"
"I do~ Of course I do!" Jack, who treasured the Black Pearl like his own life, immediately shouted. Then he sidled up to Hao Shuai with a fawning smile. "I just have one little favor to ask you, boss."
"A favor? What, do you want a chest of treasure too?" Hao Shuai asked curiously. He didn't remember Captain Jack being the sort to care much about money.
