Human nature was complicated. On one hand, Frederick wanted to free it from the shackles of thought; on the other, he feared the evil side of human nature might be unleashed.

When an individual's power was enough to place him above many others, the evil in human nature—the self-righteous pretense of doing what was best for others—would burst forth.

Frederick still had no idea how to solve this problem.

After establishing the Advisory Committee, he had started to grow lazy. Whenever he couldn't figure something out, he would find like-minded people to study it with him.

By the time he reached Boerling City, Frederick had outwardly returned to normal.

Aiershortz was taking the real princess back to the nearby Kingdom of Pozdupimy. At her suggestion, Frederick and Bellberk headed for an inn, but on the way, they were drawn by a sound.

Frederick had the carriage stop and listened closely to the noise of sewing machines coming from a nearby building.

It was a nearly twenty-meter-long building with four stories. A crane jutted out from the top floor, while the first through third floors were sewing workshops.

Bellberk looked displeased. She tugged at his sleeve and said, "Hurry up. Don't block the road."

Frederick spotted a decent-looking inn not far away, so he drove the carriage over.

As he followed an attendant toward the stable, he asked, "What's that noisy building for?"

The attendant said proudly, "That's the clothing factory owned by our boss, Sir Schneider. This inn belongs to him too."

Frederick vaguely remembered someone by that name, but it had been a long time ago, and he couldn't recall him just then.

He exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, with an enterprise that big, Sir Schneider must be very rich."

The attendant gave a mysterious smile and lowered his voice.
