Piaster Kingdom: A Dead End

The Golden Needle Trading Company was one of the most talked-about legends in Boerling City in recent years.

One evening ten years ago, a married couple stood bewildered outside the docks with a shipload of goods from Weissenburg City.

The tailor and his wife had spent the journey imagining the life they would lead after making their fortune. But when they reached their destination, they suddenly realized they had never handled such a large deal before and had no idea what to do next.

Under the guidance of God of Light, the couple met another benefactor in their lives.

More than ten years earlier, a local merchant had taken his wife and two sons with him on a business trip, hoping to broaden their horizons. No one could have imagined that the Rhine River would burst its banks in the middle of the night and completely destroy the village where they were staying.

Fortunately, the merchant had not been deeply in debt. After his mother paid off what he owed, she still had her small building: a shop and warehouse on the first floor, living quarters on the second, and her own room on the third.

That day, the old woman went to the docks in search of new tenants. She found no one all day, until she spotted the bewildered couple in the sunset.

Fate brought two gears together, setting them turning as one.

The old woman was both their landlady and their teacher, guiding the tailor step by step until he became a capable businessman.

The couple were both tenants and adopted children. They cared for the old woman as if she were their own mother, and even the most fastidious people in the city could find no fault with them.

The shop changed from a general store
