The biggest headache for Metzger was still securing provisions for the army.
The Dawn Trading Company had gathered a large sum of money, but a major grain deal had just wrapped up not long ago. Much of the grain had been shipped to the Duchy of Weissen, and there simply wasn't enough left on the market. Even with money, there was nothing to buy.
Luckily, the friends Metzger had recently made came in handy. At an estate outside the city, he met Count Marcin of the neighboring Piaster Kingdom.
