Hope Base's rescue squad successfully met their savior. Once they reached the outskirts of the city, Xiao Yang and the squad members climbed aboard the vehicles they had prepared.
Xiao Yang sat ramrod straight in the vehicle, looking perfectly proper. He wasn't sure why, but the atmosphere along the way was stiff—perhaps because of the thick layer of sticky blood coating him, which still hadn't completely dried.
