Legends concerning the Saint Fire Underworld Abyss had been widely circulated throughout the cultivation world since the Four Tribulations Era.
Of these, the following two accounts were the most deeply ingrained:
The first claimed that the Saint Fire Underworld Abyss was a battlefield relic left behind by the Saint Spirit Race and the Ancient Underworld Race during the Four Tribulations Era. It involved a struggle between the two strongest Saints of that age over some powerful treasure; both had fallen, turning the place into a Saintfall Land.
The second claimed that, in order to eradicate the Ancient Underworld Race, that slaughter-crazed and wicked race, the Saint Spirit Race of that era had pooled the strength of their entire clan to seal off a region and perish together with the Ancient Underworld Race, binding them together forever. Only later, as the ages shifted and time wore away at the seal, did its power gradually weaken enough for it to see the light of day again.
The surviving descendants of the Saint Spirit Race had developed into the Saint Sect of today.
Unfortunately, the inheritance surrounding that secret realm had suffered a break in transmission.
