A young person's sensitive pride always led to childish behavior. When he matured and looked back on it, he would probably feel ashamed himself.
But for now, Hadige felt that his vanity had been satisfied.
"There were so many chunks of rock in the Meteorite Belt, some as big as a house, and they passed this close to you."
Hadige gestured to show an extremely narrow distance. Though his movements were a little exaggerated, they did draw quite a bit of attention.
"Wearing a mech and smashing a house-sized meteorite with one punch was freaking awesome."
The teachers accompanying the students listened to their animated "stories" with a different feeling altogether.

One of the teachers asked curiously. They did not think Hadige was lying, since his description was vivid and closely matched their own experiences in space.
