Keep Bluffing

Everyone involved was extremely cautious during their first contact with a strange, mysterious civilization.

But for Michel, there was nothing particularly novel about it.

There was no need to mention the people of the Blue Star Federation. He had seen far too many of them.

It was his first time seeing the Colossus Civilization, but they were humanoids by nature as well.

Or rather, all known civilizations were humanoid races.

It was as if some unobserved God had scattered humanity across every corner of the universe, eventually forming a dazzling array of different civilizations.

The study of intelligent life forms was also a major direction of theology in the interstellar age.

Michel smiled. Human forms were good!

The Colossus people and the Blue Star people stood several steps apart, with a faintly hostile air between them.

Not to mention that they had fought before, but now that they were simultaneously making contact with the unknown Angel Civilization, a sense of competition had emerged instead.

"Welcome, brothers from a foreign star system. This is land blessed by the Seraphim."

Michel's current role was that of a charlatan.

But unlike other interstellar-age charlatans, he had more than enough confidence.

Neither the representatives of the Colossus Civilization nor the Blue Star Federation raised any questions. This was only the initial contact, and they should avoid sharp conflicts as much as possible.

"Greetings, guests of the Angel Civilization."

The three sides acted as though there were no grievances between them, their friendliness almost laughable.

Michel did not care and took the two of them on a tour.

Along the way, mecha of every shape and form left both sides wide-eyed as they tried to commit everything to memory.

Every detail they saw now was valuable.

Then... the first meeting ended amicably just like that.
