Aiqi shuddered and nearly fell over.
He reached for his self-defense weapon, but someone kicked his hand.
"If I were you, I'd behave myself and not test my patience."
The icy voice kept Aiqi from making any rash moves.
He turned around with a fake smile and finally saw what the newcomer looked like.
"Brother, do you want money, or do you need me to do something? Murder isn't worth it. There are cameras everywhere now."
"I don't want money, and I don't need you to do anything. I just want to beat you up."
Aiqi was dumbfounded. What kind of play was this?
His company was not exactly heavily guarded, but it was not a place people could enter and leave at will either. Someone had broken in just to beat him up?
Before he could speak, he saw a red glow emanate from the other man's hand. Then the man picked up an ornament from the desk and crushed it flat.
"A Transcendent?"
He recalled the recent warnings from his family, telling them all to be careful around Transcendents.
But Ai qi had never imagined that a small fry like him would be targeted.
He might have been ignorant and incompetent, but he knew he could not open his mouth, no matter what the other side wanted to ask.
Unfortunately, the other man had no sense of fair play. He asked nothing and immediately began pummeling him.
Aiqi held out for a few seconds before letting out a scream.
"Brother! Sir! Just tell me what you want! I'll cooperate with everything!"
"Pah, useless trash." The Transcendent spat contemptuously, then dialed the police himself. "Hello, I'm turning myself in. Yes, turning myself in. I beat someone up. You can call it mutual assault or intentional injury, whatever you like.
