"Who dares raise a ruckus at my Three Talents Manor!" A voice rang out from the center of the manor. It was Manor Lord Zhan.
Half his body ice, half his body fire, he flew into the air and raised a hand, striking at the man who had just declared, "Leave no chickens or dogs alive!" His palm force transformed into an Ice Dragon and a fire dragon, the two dragons coiling around each other as they snapped at the man!
It was his signature move, "Ice and Fire Dual Reflection"!
"Holy shit..." Seeing several black-clad figures descend from the sky and Manor Lord Zhan fly into the air, Shi Feizhe blurted out a line of C.
As the saying went, a man sat peacefully at home, only for disaster to fall from the sky.
He'd only enjoyed a few days of peace before someone came to wipe out Three Talents Manor.
Couldn't you wait a few years?
Black qi billowed around the black-clad figures as they plunged down from who knew how high, each gripping a long staff shaped like a goat's skull and killing anyone they saw!
One of the black-clad figures was near Shi Feizhe. The moment he spotted Shi Feizhe, he leaped forward and swung his goat-skull staff at him with both hands.
Shi Feizhe saw clearly that it wasn't a real goat's head, but black iron forged into the shape of one! The horns curled and gleamed, and with the black iron club beneath the skull, the whole thing must've weighed at least a hundred jin.
Fortunately, Shi Feizhe had been practicing martial arts without fail these past few days. He didn't have time to think; he rolled like a donkey and dodged the blow. But the black-clad man had anticipated that. Midair, he swept the goat-skull staff sideways, its horns about to pierce Shi Feizhe and rip open his belly.
Just then, a streak of golden light shot out of the accounts office. With a clang, it struck the black-clad man's goat-skull staff and knocked it aside.
"Ram Horn Sacrum—you're from the Northern Sea Demonic Sect!" Mr. Wang, his face thin and gaunt, walked out of the accounts office. He beckoned, and the golden light flew into his hand. It turned out to be a golden ring the size of his palm. Zhang Lianglong and Wang Chengfeng arrived with him, both carrying long sabers.
Shi Feizhe scrambled away on all fours. The martial world was too dangerous. He'd almost died again!
The black-clad man said nothing. Clutching the Ram Horn Sacrum, he charged at Mr. Wang.
"You three haven't even cultivated true qi yet. Get out of the way!" Mr. Wang ordered. He swept out both hands, sending a streak of gold and a streak of silver flying forth. They became two bright arcs, striking the black-clad man from opposite directions.
"Wooo..." The black-clad man swung the Ram Horn Sacrum, its wail like a ghost's, and easily fended off both streaks of light. Then the staff, its surface gleaming with a dark sheen, smashed toward Mr. Wang.
Mr. Wang knew the Northern Sea Demonic Sect's Ram Horn Sacrum weighed hundreds of jin. Reinforced with its wielder's true qi, it could split mountains and shatter stone. There was no way he could block such brute force, so he nimbly dodged the blow.
He'd avoided it, but the accounts office behind him was still smashed in, half the building collapsing under the blow.
There was no time to worry about worldly possessions. He let out a long whistle, and the golden and silver lights shot out again. They collided in midair and changed direction, filling the whole courtyard with golden and silver flashes until the black-clad man couldn't fend them off.
At last, the golden light struck the black-clad man's chest from an impossible angle, and the silver light hit him in the back. Both blows landed over his heart.
But the black qi around the man only flickered. He was completely unharmed.
"Damn! Profound Wind Imperishable Body!" Seeing his killing move shrugged off without so much as a scratch, Mr. Wang cursed. He beckoned, and the golden and silver lights returned to his hands. Then he turned and ran!
His strike could've pulverized even a large bluestone. Now it had hit that bastard without leaving a mark. If he didn't run, when would he?
He hated those muscle-bound brutes who trained their bodies. They had no skill whatsoever!
Shi Feizhe and the other two hadn't gotten far when they saw Mr. Wang dash past them with a few light steps.
"Sir! Wait for us!" Zhang Lianglong shouted.
"Split up and run! You might still have a chance!" Mr. Wang called without looking back.
Zhang Lianglong glanced behind him and saw the black-clad man charging after them, Ram Horn Sacrum in hand, like a wild bull.
"Split up!" he cried, nearly scared out of his wits, and bolted around a corner.
Wang Chengfeng and Shi Feizhe took his advice too, hurriedly running in opposite directions. With things as they were, they could only pray they'd make it out alive!
Seeing them scatter, the black-clad man sneered and casually picked one to chase.
They'd already sealed off Three Talents Manor. These people were nothing but turtles trapped in a jar!
Inside Three Talents Manor, Hua Xiaomei dispatched a black-clad man in a few moves, then frowned as he watched the battle in the sky.
Hua Xiaomei recognized the attacker. He was Mei Ren of the Northern Sea Demonic Sect's Mei Family Five Brothers. Word was he was only at the Heavenly Circuit level, not yet at the True Person Realm.
Yet every blow of his sent out black stormlike baleful energy of immense power, leaving Manor Lord Zhan, who was also at the Heavenly Circuit level, struggling to withstand him.
Could this man have already brushed against the threshold of the True Person Realm?
"Manor Lord Zhan, I'll help you!" Hua Xiaomei snapped his fan shut. Infused with his true qi, it shimmered faintly, like a sharp sword—or a ridged, angular mace!
He cultivated one of the Hua Family's ancestral arts from the Central Plains Demonic Sect, the Eastern Mountain God Prison Law Codex. The Great Emperor of Mount Tai ruled over the life and death of all creatures in the world!
He swung his mace at Mei Ren in the sky. The blow surged with grandeur, black and white revolving around each other. Like the Great Emperor of Mount Tai judging the living and sentencing the dead, it was impossible to evade. It struck Mei Ren with majestic certainty.
"Ha! That Hua brat only knows how to sneak attack!" Mei Ren laughed. Then he kicked Zhan Yunfan away and broke apart Hua Xiaomei's grand strike with a fist carrying an endless storm of baleful energy.
Hundreds of years ago, after King Ju died and chaos erupted within the Demonic Sect, the Northern Sea Demonic Sect had been forced to flee to the Northern Sea. But there, fortune had come from misfortune. After witnessing the Northern Sea's endless cold winds, they'd pushed their Windswept World Art to an even higher realm.
Now their generation had come of age and was growing into a formidable force. It was time for them to return to the Central Plains Demonic Sect, reunify the Demonic Sect, and fulfill their ancestors' wish to become King Ju!
Three Talents Manor was the opening they'd chosen!
"Wind!" Mei Ren roared. His true qi churned, drawing in the gale and black clouds overhead. Slowly, a massive tornado formed around him.
"Die!"
The tornado swept toward Zhan Yunfan and Hua Xiaomei, while Mei Ren rode the wind inside it and kicked fiercely at Hua Xiaomei.
His kick carried black, stormlike baleful energy. It was as fast as lightning, and it was meant to kick Hua Xiaomei to death!
Who had time to shout out the name of a move in the middle of a fight?
The huge black tornado whipped up a gale of over level ten throughout Three Talents Manor. The roof tiles clattered and flew. Ordinary people couldn't stand against it; even burly men at the Qi and Blood Barrier could barely keep their feet!
The black-clad men, however, walked through the gale as if on level ground, relentlessly reaping the lives of Three Talents Manor's people.
Watching the tornado in the distance, Shi Feizhe struggled against the gale as he made his way forward. He had to escape Three Talents Manor if he wanted to live.
But with wind this strong, how the hell was he supposed to run?
Running into the wind might give him a chance to live, but the black-clad men would catch up! And running with the wind? No need to say it—that'd get him killed even faster!
A black-clad man was approaching nearby, dragging the Ram Horn Sacrum along the ground. Shi Feizhe's heart was in a panic.
What should he do? What should he do?
He was fucking going to die!
The martial world was too dangerous!
