Ch. 224Witnessing the Source

Lu Cang and Luluwei explored a cavern in the Secret Sea, where Lu Cang uncovered an entrance to the Realm of Secret Knowledge. A simulation showed him a glimpse of the Source and ended when trying to comprehend it overwhelmed his mind, leaving him relieved that he had not entered in person.

  • Luluwei defeated the Tier Six monster in the deep-sea cavern, and Lu Cang searched its corpse and discovered an anklet storage container.
  • Lu Cang learned that the Enlightenment ritual came from the Abnormal Nest, then made an underwater offering that revealed a hidden chamber and a passage to the Realm of Secret Knowledge.
  • Lu Cang solved two riddles, opened a portal created by Deng Lin, and told Luluwei to contact Iz and the others if he did not return within twenty-four hours.
  • Lu Cang entered the passage in a simulation and saw a brilliant Great Sun, the Fire Core, and a Black Hole-like object he recognized as the Source before his thoughts collapsed.
  • Lu Cang came out of the simulation when Luluwei roused him, reassured her, and said he wanted to walk with her through the Secret Sea before it was destroyed.

Ch. 225Yuna's Feelings

Lu Cang reassured Yuna that she did not need to measure herself against his adventures, and they resumed studying together. He then rehearsed Iz’s magic research and produced a mountain of drafts, leaving him stunned by the scale of the spell.

  • Lu Cang told Luluwei a fabricated account of his travels and promised to take her along on a future trip.
  • At the White Tower, Lu Cang explained his absence to Yuna, but she confessed that she envied his freedom and felt her own life was insignificant beside his.
  • Lu Cang comforted Yuna, affirmed that she could pursue learning in her own way, and asked her to teach him oceanography; Yuna agreed.
  • Lu Cang studied oceanography with Yuna, then met Tang Rui to discuss his Origin Magic and regained some Scholar abilities.
  • Before midnight, Lu Cang used God-Tier Future Rehearsal and emerged with a vast collection of spell drafts.
  • Lu Cang brought the drafts to the Loins Magic Academy research lab, where Iz and the others saw the mountain of papers; Lu Cang realized the diagrams had tripled in number.

Ch. 226The Day Before Doomsday

Lu Cang helped Iz refine a continental teleportation spell as doomsday panic spread through the Secret Sea, while developing new forms of Skyward Flow. By March 20, the churches were preparing different ways to survive, the Life Church remained silent, and Lu Cang had altered Fate substantially as the approaching battle with An Zheng drew nearer.

  • Hun Mu and Jie Zhuzhu fell asleep studying the random teleportation spell, and Iz examined Lu Cang’s diagrams and refined the spell to send people to safer regions and other continents.
  • Lu Cang and Iz tacitly recognized that Lu Cang brought knowledge back from the future, and Iz treated the diagrams as a challenge to surpass his own understanding.
  • As news of the Secret Sea’s impending destruction spread, Iz established a Continental Teleportation Spell across Ruin Continent, the Magic Association released the improved random teleportation spell, and the major churches prepared their own escape or protection plans.
  • Lu Cang learned Tang Rui’s Origin Magic and completed the seventh and eighth forms of Skyward Flow, creating Illusion to fight with a duplicate body and Advance to accelerate his movement.
  • After eighteen days and thirty-six future previews, Lu Cang had changed much of Fate and brought the Secret Sea’s power structure around Ruilun, while his progress toward promotion as a Decipherer remained slow.

Ch. 227Promoted to Level 5 Decipherer

Lu Cang prepared for the coming apocalypse while pursuing his class promotions, and noticed a mysterious force seemed to be guiding his future toward the Moon Sea. On March 23, he successfully advanced to Level 5 Decipherer, while his Prophet promotion also appeared to meet its requirements.

  • Lu Cang and Leng Qingying cleared out bandits, and Leng Qingying asked where they might be sent by random teleportation.
  • Lu Cang realized their optimized teleportation would lead only to Boundless Mountain or the Moon Sea, and suspected an unseen force was steering him toward the Moon Sea.
  • Iz returned from Teng Ge after helping an Inquisition Priest defeat its mechanical constructs and capture Teng Gai.
  • Kumiloni told Lu Cang where to find her after teleportation and warned him about his severe corruption before his promotion.
  • Lu Cang began his promotion ritual, solved the Decipherer riddles, and advanced to Level 5 Decipherer.

Ch. 228God-Tier Unsolvable Mystery

Lu Cang completed his Level 5 Decipherer promotion and gained the God-Tier talent Unsolvable Mystery, which obscured records of him and blocked higher beings from observing or influencing his Fate. He then advanced to Level 2 Prophet, and his new talent prevented the corruption that would normally accompany the ritual from appearing.

  • Lu Cang reached Level 5 Decipherer, formed a Memory Palace in his sea of consciousness, and gained the masteries The Deeper Truth of the World, Multiple Encryption, and Clever Break.
  • Lu Cang gained God-Tier · Unsolvable Mystery, which blurred records of him and caused higher-level gazes, curses, blessings, and influences on his Fate to vanish.
  • Lu Cang discovered he could control the talent so Kumiloni could remember him clearly, then continued his promotions as the remaining Foul Worms disappeared.
  • Lu Cang completed the Prophet promotion ritual by reciting words from the future and became a Level 2 Prophet.
  • Lu Cang and Kumiloni found that no corruption had appeared and the cave entrance remained shut; Lu Cang realized Unsolvable Mystery had hidden him from the Foul Source Nest and prevented the corruption channel from opening.

Ch. 229Level 2 Prophet

After reaching Level 2 Prophet, Lu Cang gained a powerful but tightly restricted wish talent and prepared with his companions for their coming attack on An Zheng. The chapter ended with the continent’s teleportation beginning, leaving An Zheng behind to face four legendary beings.

  • Lu Cang gained the Self-Foresight mastery, Prophecy Transmission, and the God-Tier Wish talent, whose guaranteed wishes required careful planning and occupied limited slots until fulfilled.
  • After promoting to Prophet, Lu Cang gained two additional daily Future Rehearsals and decided to save his remaining uses for the coming battle.
  • At Iz’s palace, the group discussed their plan to teleport everyone except An Zheng, then attack him, and agreed on meeting points in case they were separated.
  • Lu Cang agreed to help Leng Qingying and Yuna with their promotions if needed, while Iz explained that random teleportation could not be used again for two years.
  • Kumiloni gave the group her Life Pointer and expressed hope they would meet again safely.
  • On March 24, the teleportation began, sending the continent away and leaving An Zheng behind to face four legendary beings.

Ch. 230God-Tier: My Wish

Lu Cang tested how his God-Tier: My Wish talent influenced Fate across three simulations and learned that wishes worked best when he took action toward them. As the continent’s teleportation approached, he chose to wish for it to send him to the Moon Sea, leaving his destination set but the outcome still ahead.

  • Lu Cang explored the Moon Sea with the Ruin Continent, visited his friends, and studied oceanography at the White Tower while testing wishes.
  • Lu Cang found that wishes to avoid actions were fulfilled immediately, unlikely goals became more probable, and personal effort could help fulfill wishes.
  • Lu Cang discovered that wishes could use causal connections and vague groups, but their success depended on his understanding when he made them.
  • Lu Cang compared the Moon Sea with the dangerous Boundless Mountain and, guided by his premonition, wished to be transported to the Moon Sea by the continent’s teleportation magic.

Ch. 231An Uneventful Departure

While organizing his storage space, Lu Cang uncovered a hidden message from Mese suggesting that Mese had survived by separating himself from corruption, and he shared it with Iz. That night, Iz activated a continent-wide teleportation spell, carrying Lu Cang and the others to the Moon Sea as the Ruin Continent arrived there.

  • Lu Cang sorted through his storage items and discovered a message hidden in three slips of paper Mese had given him, along with a Soul Seeking Technique that bore a mark connected to Mese.
  • Lu Cang brought the deciphered message to Iz, who considered whether Mese's method might clear Spiritual Pollution and said they could investigate if they had the chance.
  • On March 24, Iz and Lu Cang checked that nothing had gone wrong before Iz began casting a vast teleportation spell across the continent and nearby sea.
  • Iz and Lu Cang exchanged promises to meet again and challenge each other as mages of equal rank, while Iz warned Lu Cang to be careful.
  • A surge of power erupted from Lotdan's imperial palace, and Iz activated the spell, teleporting them as the Ruin Continent crashed into the sea near the Moon Sea.

Ch. 233The Strongest Mage

Izpalut and An Zheng fought across the Secret Sea after Chicheng and the others helped contain An Zheng’s first phase. An Zheng briefly regained his youthful Peak Condition and unleashed powerful Origin and Forbidden Magic, but Izpalut overwhelmed him and ended the chapter casting the Seventh Forbidden Magic—All Elements.

  • Obades sealed the battlefield while Kumiloni strengthened the group with healing blessings, and Chicheng attacked An Zheng as Izpalut watched.
  • Chicheng endured An Zheng’s eternalized cutting spells, then Izpalut used Inner Void to disrupt An Zheng’s magic and reveal his true form.
  • Izpalut stopped Chicheng from joining the next phase and faced An Zheng alone, countering his spells with Reverse Deconstruction and striking from across layered spaces.
  • An Zheng shed his elemental shell and returned to his youthful Peak Condition, but Izpalut’s attacks still interrupted his casting and turned his spells back against him.
  • An Zheng failed to cast the Eighth Forbidden Magic—Fate, and Izpalut’s Essence Stripping began draining his life.
  • Izpalut announced and cast the Seventh Forbidden Magic—All Elements while An Zheng continued to resist.

Ch. 234First Arrival at the Moon Sea

Iz defeated An Zheng and kept his remains, then waited for the people coming to help him. Lu Cang arrived at the Moon Sea, surveyed the surrounding lands, and faced Yuna’s request to travel with him to the Land of Seeing the Moon.

  • An Zheng admitted Iz was the strongest mage of the era before he died, and Iz collected his belongings and skin.
  • Chicheng asked Iz what they would do next, and Iz said they would wait for An Zheng’s helpers and deal with a Death Church executive.
  • Lu Cang used three precognitions to learn about the continents, dangers, and Moon Sea Ship routes around the Loren Continent.
  • Yuna asked Lu Cang to take her traveling to the Land of Seeing the Moon, and Lu Cang warned her of the dangers and reminded her he had promised Kumiloni to protect her and Leng Qingying.

Ch. 236232. Missilshu and Atlantis City

Lu Cang decided to explore Missilshu with Yuna, Luluwei, and Leng Qingying before choosing how to cross the Moon Sea. In Atlantis City, they headed to the White Tower to register, while Sheng Yi prepared to advance to Scholar level six and visit the White Tower.

  • Lu Cang suggested that Yuna travel with him to Missilshu, and Yuna agreed after saying her parents had approved.
  • Lu Cang invited Luluwei to join him, and she agreed before retreating into the bathroom after their awkward conversation.
  • Lu Cang and his companions arrived in Atlantis City, where Yuna and Leng Qingying were astonished by its immense size.
  • Lu Cang led the group toward the White Tower to register and blend in among Moon Sea residents.
  • Sheng Yi ordered two men to advance him to level-six Scholar so he could visit the White Tower himself.

Ch. 237The Reincarnation Encounter

Lu Cang and Yuna entered the White Tower in Atlantis City, where Lu Cang explored its upper floors and read a series about reincarnation. Just as he finished the eighth volume, he recognized the white-haired, red-eyed child beside him as Sheng Yi and prepared for a possible fight.

  • Lu Cang and Yuna registered at the White Tower, and the verifier’s records of Lu Cang became blurred because of his Unsolvable Mystery talent.
  • Lu Cang explored the White Tower’s higher floors, passed the seals restricting access, and found a hidden ten-volume series about an endless reincarnation body.
  • Lu Cang read about reincarnation and concluded that building a loyal organization would help him regain power in future lives, while Sheng Yi posed his greatest threat.
  • As Lu Cang reached the eighth volume, Sheng Yi appeared beside him, and Lu Cang recognized him from the battles in the Forgotten Kingdom and tensed for a possible fight.

Ch. 238Killing Intent

Lu Cang met Sheng Yi in the White Tower and learned that Sheng Yi was searching for the person who held the Reincarnation Mark, unaware that it was Lu Cang. After Sheng Yi left, Lu Cang followed him and contacted Leng Qingying as he considered how to kill his rival.

  • Lu Cang pretended to be a child interested in reincarnation while Sheng Yi explained that reincarnation belonged to a specific person who would have to return the Reincarnation Mark to him.
  • Sheng Yi revealed that he was the reincarnator and described his past lives, his many classes, and his ambition to surpass level nine.
  • Sheng Yi explained why level-eight class-changers struggled to advance to level nine, including the unique sword path required of a sword saint.
  • After Sheng Yi left the White Tower, Lu Cang tracked him to a dark cellar while weighing their conflict over reincarnation.
  • Lu Cang contacted Leng Qingying through their link and asked whether she wanted to live by the assassin's creed.

Ch. 239Ascending Realm

Lu Cang learned of a ruin in Missilshu that held the divine medicine Ascending Realm, which could lower advancement requirements, and decided to go there himself. Sheng Yi refused the Church of Light’s invitation and, alone in his chamber, wondered who had taken his Reincarnation and whether he would meet them again.

  • Sheng Yi learned that an island had appeared near Missilshu, apparently transported from the Secret Sea, and ordered further investigation.
  • Sheng Yi heard that the Church of Light wanted his help exploring a ruin accessible to people with special qualifications, but he said he was not interested.
  • Lu Cang discovered that the ruin contained Ascending Realm, a divine medicine that could lower advancement requirements, and resolved to visit it.
  • Leng Qingying appeared beside Lu Cang, took the milk tea he offered, and asked again who they were going to kill.
  • Sheng Yi sat alone in his chamber, wondered who had taken his Reincarnation, and hoped they might meet again.

Ch. 240Poison and Assassination

Lu Cang recruited Leng Qingying to poison Sheng Yi, a powerful reincarnator he feared might escape a direct attack. After observing Sheng Yi’s public work and private routine in a simulation, Lu Cang poisoned his wine, but Sheng Yi noticed the intrusion before drinking it and confronted the unseen watcher.

  • Sheng Yi planned to lure another Reincarnator with an inheritance and prepared a lethal formation, while Lu Cang secretly overheard him.
  • Lu Cang gave Leng Qingying poison and asked her to help kill Sheng Yi; she agreed, and Lu Cang shared his perception so she could see their target.
  • Lu Cang explained that Sheng Yi was a Level 6 Scholar, Mage, and Mechanic whose teleportation and reinforcements made a direct fight too risky.
  • After his simulations refreshed, Lu Cang tested poisoning Sheng Yi and followed him through his work with Reincarnation, schools, and the poor.
  • At night, Sheng Yi returned to his hidden chamber and poured a glass of wine Lu Cang had poisoned, but set it down and announced that he had detected the watcher.
  • Sheng Yi asked the unseen watcher whether they had stolen his Undying and challenged them to stop hiding.

Ch. 241Three Stabs at Sheng Yi

Lu Cang used three rehearsals to test ways of killing Sheng Yi, learning that Sheng Yi’s mechanical body and hidden preparations made him extremely difficult to defeat. After repeated failed attempts, Lu Cang returned to his lodgings with Leng Qingying and began considering a more patient approach to the assassination.

  • Sheng Yi lured Lu Cang into a trap in Atlantis City, but Lu Cang’s attacks and undead army overwhelmed him until Sheng Yi launched the Holy Sky City’s cannon and destroyed the continent in the rehearsal.
  • Lu Cang realized that Sheng Yi’s cannon could kill him and that the battle would devastate Missilshu, so he restarted the rehearsal and sent Leng Qingying to infiltrate without magic.
  • Lu Cang and Leng Qingying poisoned Sheng Yi and attacked him, but Sheng Yi’s mechanical body resisted the poison and he escaped after Lu Cang disabled the Holy Sky City launch sites.
  • Lu Cang increased the poison dose and attacked Sheng Yi from behind in a third rehearsal, but Sheng Yi’s life-saving items kept him alive long enough to escape again.
  • Lu Cang asked Leng Qingying how to kill an elusive, well-defended target, and she advised waiting for the prey to lower its guard and stripping away its defenses over time.

Ch. 242Scheming

Lu Cang told Luluwei that Sheng Yi was a dangerous Reincarnator who would keep hunting him, and the three discussed how to assassinate him. After another failed simulated attempt, Lu Cang planned to lower Sheng Yi’s guard and trap him somewhere teleportation was impossible.

  • Luluwei overheard Lu Cang and Leng Qingying discussing ways to kill a child and asked them why they wanted to do it.
  • Lu Cang explained that Sheng Yi was a powerful enemy who might kill him and could have set traps for him, and Luluwei agreed to watch the target.
  • Lu Cang, Luluwei, and Leng Qingying discussed assassination methods late into the night, delighting Leng Qingying.
  • On March 26, Lu Cang watched Sheng Yi and learned that the ruins containing the Ascending Realm would not open until April.
  • Lu Cang simulated another assassination attempt, failed to overcome Sheng Yi’s escape items, and considered luring him into a place sealed against teleportation.

Ch. 243Tier 7 Dungeon

Lu Cang summoned and strengthened a Tier 7 dungeon to create a trap for Sheng Yi, then killed the Observer Elfon and used his skin and identity to infiltrate the Reincarnation sect. As Elfon, he reported to Sheng Yi, who asked what he had discovered about the dungeon.

  • Lu Cang used the Source of Calamity, a luck ritual, and a hundred million souls to summon a Tier 7 Tree Sea dungeon, then strengthened it with nine million more souls.
  • Lu Cang marked the dungeon with clues about a second reincarnation, intending to lure Sheng Yi inside, and escaped the Tree Sea after setting the trap.
  • Lu Cang hid among the gathered experts and later killed Elfon, a Level 6 Observer who had helped Sheng Yi track him.
  • Lu Cang sewed Elfon's skin onto a dead spirit named Elfon, gained his appearance and aura, and prepared to report to Sheng Yi.
  • At the Reincarnation Hall, Sheng Yi asked Elfon whether he had investigated the Demonic Tide and found anything.

Ch. 244Layered Preparations

Lu Cang used Elfon to persuade Saint One that the dangerous Tier 7 Dungeon held signs of the Reincarnation faith, prompting Saint One to claim it and visit in person. Lu Cang prepared the dungeon as an ambush, building a Hall of Reincarnation and setting permanent magic arrays to trap him.

  • Elfon showed Saint One visions of Reincarnation emblems and a stone stele in the dungeon, and Saint One decided Reincarnation would secure the dungeon.
  • Saint One said he would visit the dungeon with Black Left and White Right, while Lu Cang watched from nearby and prepared to deal with him first.
  • Lu Cang had Leng Qingying put blue liquid in another man's wine, then returned to the dungeon and surveyed the powerful successors gathered around it.
  • Lu Cang entered the dungeon, built a Hall of Reincarnation, carved cryptic clues and an emblem into it, and placed a barrier at its entrance.
  • Lu Cang set permanent magic arrays throughout the dungeon to prepare for Saint One's arrival.

Ch. 245The Prophet's Prophecy

Sheng Yi sought divinations about a Tier 7 Dungeon, then discovered a mysterious Prophet who revealed that Sheng Yi had lost his Reincarnation Mark and promised he would soon have another chance to regain reincarnation. Sheng Yi lowered his weapon and offered the Prophet a place of honor in the Reincarnation Sect in exchange for further insight.

  • Sheng Yi asked Moloduo a series of questions about the Tier 7 Dungeon and learned that he would encounter reincarnation there, gain something, and have to enter without mechanical power.
  • The hidden diviner revealed that he had taken control of Moloduo and reflected on the scarcity of high-level diviners.
  • Sheng Yi visited the Reincarnation Sect's laboratory and inspected the flesh-and-machinery replacements and his original body sealed in a cultivation tank.
  • Sheng Yi encountered a man claiming to be a Prophet, who said the Second Reincarnation Sanctuary was his final chance to obtain reincarnation and that the person who took his Reincarnation Mark would never appear before him again.
  • Sheng Yi pointed his mechanical staff at the Prophet, then lowered it after the man promised he would soon have another chance to regain reincarnation.
  • Sheng Yi offered the Prophet equal status in the Reincarnation Sect and asked him to explain his insight into Fate and the future.
