Ch. 427Destruction and Hope

Lu Cang escaped Sophia after briefly borrowing Ansu’s power, then questioned Ansu about Sophia’s plan and the possibility of the Primordial Sea awakening. He traveled to the Sea Abyss, where he overpowered Luoyan and discovered a mysterious substance she called the hope of a new world.

  • Lu Cang used a portion of his soul to let Ansu halt Sophia’s growth, then teleported away after deciding he could not defeat her.
  • Ansu explained that Sophia intended to revive the Lord of the Ocean and devour it, while Lu Cang wondered whether the Primordial Sea might awaken instead.
  • Lu Cang considered the danger to Kumiloni and checked the locations of his cores before deciding to visit Luoyan in the Sea Abyss.
  • Luoyan attacked Lu Cang with a dark whip, but he wounded her, took the divine artifact, and demanded to know what she had been touching.
  • Luoyan called the black substance the hope of a new world and said it could help Sentient Life coexist with monsters.

Ch. 428The Struggle of Life

Lu Cang healed Luoyan and questioned her about the Dark Church and a human-monster egg while Kumiloni fought Sophia’s takeover and sent out a Guiding Ritual. Sophia ultimately took Kumiloni’s body, and Lu Cang chose not to return in time to save her; another surge of life force then swept across the Sea Abyss.

  • Lu Cang healed Luoyan, while Kumiloni searched the Sea Abyss for him and struggled against Sophia’s attempt to possess her.
  • Kumiloni used the Guiding Ritual to send a signal, abolished her Healing Mage class, and transformed her body in a desperate effort to resist Sophia.
  • Sophia took control of Kumiloni’s body as the Promotion Ritual shone across the sky.
  • Lu Cang saw Kumiloni’s signal but decided not to risk returning to face Sophia, then went back to Luoyan.
  • Luoyan told Lu Cang that the Dark Church was losing its war against the swarm and that the nest would soon descend; she carried an egg from a monster and a human.
  • Lu Cang asked whether Luoyan would turn into a monster, and she said she would not before another wave of life force swept across the sea.

Ch. 429424: The Hidden Game Within the Game

Lu Cang touched the Dark Egg and learned it could transform him into a demonic beast before the Primordial Sea appeared and began absorbing all life in the Secret Sea. Roa and Sophia intervened in the upheaval, while Lu Cang watched the battle spread and wondered whether anything he did could change the outcome.

  • Lu Cang sensed Sophia’s contact with the Lord of the Ocean and touched the Dark Egg, receiving the transformation path that could turn him into a demonic beast.
  • The Primordial Sea appeared, consumed Luoyan and the land’s inhabitants, and pulled Lu Cang toward its golden waters.
  • Roa cleaved through the Primordial Sea with the Sword of Netfire Judgment, then fled as a massive wave surged toward him.
  • The sea turned over to reveal Sophia, who had taken the Lord of the Ocean as a vessel to oppose the Primordial Sea.
  • Ansu told Lu Cang that Sophia planned to use the Lord of the Ocean to suppress the Primordial Sea as war spread across the Secret Sea.

Ch. 430Instantaneous Sea

Lu Cang witnessed the powerful forces converging on the Secret Sea, then used his core to travel back to the Moon Sea and Atlantis City. He left a core behind in the Secret Sea and watched the escalating conflict from a safe distance.

  • Lu Cang saw the Crimson Legion and angels arrive in the Secret Sea, where the merged seas had become a battlefield for powerful factions.
  • Lu Cang decided not to join the fighting because the core he needed was in the Moon Sea with Yelia.
  • Lu Cang used his core to travel from the Secret Sea to the ruins, where he found Yelia and Rhine.
  • Lu Cang spoke briefly with Yelia, then traveled to Atlantis City and left a core there.
  • Lu Cang watched the Secret Sea through eyes that grew on the core he had left behind.

Ch. 431The Secret Sea's Final Fate

Lu Cang watched the Secret Sea’s war end as darkness and insect monsters overwhelmed the region, while the Crimson Legion withdrew and Kumiloni lost consciousness. Thirteen days later, the Secret Sea had become an insect nest, confirming the fate Lu Cang believed would have occurred without summoning Bai.

  • Lu Cang observed humanlike monsters emerge from Sea Abyss lairs and identified one as a possible ninth-tier Lair Lord whose illusions his talent dispelled.
  • The Crimson Legion formed up against the Primordial Sea, and their battle caused tsunamis and strange weather across the Moon Sea.
  • On the fifth day, insect swarms poured from fissures and fought the Crimson Legion as darkness spread across the Secret Sea.
  • The Primordial Sea and Lord of the Ocean fell still, Kumiloni lost consciousness, and the Crimson Legion began retreating as insects turned the Secret Sea into a breeding ground.
  • Thirteen days later, a black-haired woman carried away the unconscious Kumiloni, and Lu Cang concluded that the Secret Sea had become an insect nest and that this was its fate without Bai.

Ch. 432Transmission

Lu Cang told Ansu about his repeated time resets and explained that a ruined book changed its contents between loops. He suspected that people in different timelines could influence one another, so he wrote a message in a book asking anyone with the same curse to respond.

  • Lu Cang told Ansu that he had returned from the future and that another reset was due in a little over thirty days.
  • Lu Cang greeted Pidi at the Ancient Library as part of his routine to check whether the repeating world had changed.
  • Lu Cang showed Ansu that the words in the book Time's Lone Curse changed each time he read it.
  • Lu Cang and Ansu discussed whether history could be altered by changing events no one knew about.
  • Lu Cang wrote an account of his curse and experiences in a book, hoping someone in another timeline would find it and reply.

Ch. 433The Return of Magic

Lu Cang relived countless cycles and saw that every future led to the Secret Sea’s destruction. Back in Chronoa, he told Iz about his time curse and offered to help kill An Zheng before going with him to Boundless Mountain.

  • Lu Cang used Future Simulation to witness several outcomes, all ending in the Secret Sea’s destruction.
  • He left records of his experiences across Atlantis City, then lived through more resets as time retreated toward the day before he arrived at the Moon Sea.
  • Back in Chronoa, Lu Cang visited Iz and demonstrated Second Forbidden Magic—Time, freezing time across a vast area.
  • Lu Cang explained his time curse and revealed that a future version of Iz had given him the forbidden magic.
  • Iz realized he had learned the spell from Lu Cang’s demonstration but could not test it because of its lifespan cost.
  • Lu Cang asked Iz to let him help kill An Zheng and then travel with him to Boundless Mountain, and Iz agreed.

Ch. 434A Former Goal

Lu Cang sparred with Chicheng to test how his strength compared with his allies after returning from the future. He overwhelmed Chicheng at first, but Chicheng’s masked power let him block Lu Cang’s strongest clash and revealed that Lu Cang still had a gap to overcome.

  • Chicheng questioned where the original Lu Cang had gone, and Izpalut said a spell might explain his disappearance but needed more research.
  • Lu Cang confirmed that he and the others would be teleported to Boundless Mountain, and Chicheng invited him to spar in the Battle Arena.
  • Lu Cang demonstrated a newly forged elemental spear and used Elemental Primordialization and Time Cage to strike Chicheng through the ice.
  • Final Sense showed Lu Cang Chicheng’s masked form, which weakened the rules around him and let him escape the ice despite the Time Cage.
  • Chicheng blocked Lu Cang’s spear in a head-on clash, and the force destroyed Lu Cang’s arm before it regenerated.

Ch. 435Source of Power

Lu Cang tested his immense magical power against Chicheng, who countered his spells with his unique constitution and warrior techniques. Their clash left Chicheng’s organs shattered, but he grew stronger as the lightning rebuilt them, and the battle continued.

  • Lu Cang explained Chicheng’s force-rebounding constitution, then slowed him with Original Forbidden Magic and unleashed hundreds of thousands of Tier 6 spells.
  • Chicheng used Absolute Suppression: Immovable to tear apart the incoming spells and withstand Lu Cang’s attacks.
  • Lu Cang fused his Tier 6 Elemental spells into Pure Elemental magic, while Chicheng urged him to show his Warrior skills instead.
  • Chicheng met Lu Cang’s Complete Thunder with his greatsword, and the impact shattered his internal organs.
  • Chicheng fought on as his strength rose, and the lightning that had wounded him reformed his internal organs.

Ch. 436Ascension to the Path of Invincibility

Lu Cang unleashed his strongest fused Elemental magic against Chicheng, but Chicheng absorbed its power and revealed his physique and newly comprehended Path of Invincibility. Chicheng's first form, Infinite End, forced Lu Cang into a direct clash, and their weapons met as the chapter ended.

  • Chicheng grew stronger as thunder and flames surged around him and he launched an attack at Lu Cang.
  • Lu Cang struck Chicheng with fused Tier 6 Elemental magic, but Chicheng tore through it and drew power from the attack.
  • Chicheng explained that his physique let him gain and retain power from skills at his level, and said the fight had helped him comprehend a new realm.
  • Chicheng used Path of Invincibility, First Form: Infinite End, to destroy Lu Cang's magic and deliver an unavoidable sword strike.
  • Lu Cang activated Ascension to Extreme Realm and thrust his battle spear forward, meeting Chicheng's greatsword head-on.

Ch. 437Instantly Steal All Magic

Lu Cang defeated Chicheng in the Battle Arena and reunited with his companions before they were transported to the Moon Sea. There, he trapped An Zheng with Time Cage and stole all of the mage’s spells, leaving An Zheng unable to remember any magic.

  • Lu Cang shattered Chicheng’s final attack with his spear, regenerated after being destroyed, and won the Battle Arena fight as Chicheng died.
  • Chicheng praised Lu Cang’s growth, and Lu Cang reunited with Kumiloni, Obades, Leng Qingying, Luluwei, and the others while Iz continued studying the Original Forbidden Magic.
  • On the night of March 24, the Secret Sand Archipelago was transported to the Moon Sea, where An Zheng appeared before the group.
  • Lu Cang used Time Cage to trap An Zheng and revealed that the Original Forbidden Magic was called Time.
  • An Zheng summoned hundreds of thousands of magic arrays, but Lu Cang used God-Tier: Lighthouse of Myriad Laws to steal every spell from him.

Ch. 438Creating Time Magic

Lu Cang defeated An Zheng by combining the God-Tier Lighthouse of Myriad Laws with Time Cage, then traveled with Iz to Boundless Mountain to study time magic. After several days, Iz created the first time magic of the era, the Sixth-Tier Time Magic: Time Difference Band.

  • Lu Cang neutralized An Zheng's magic, shortened his imminent Death Date, and watched him wither and die.
  • Iz praised Lu Cang, who searched An Zheng's storage bag after the battle.
  • Kumiloni learned that Sophia had raised her as a vessel for possession and decided not to intercept Samo.
  • Iz teleported Lu Cang and the others from the Secret Sea to Boundless Mountain, where Lu Cang said he wanted to stop the reset cycle.
  • Lu Cang and Iz settled in a palace and studied the origins of Forbidden Magic and the Time Cage.
  • After several days of study, Iz created the Sixth-Tier Time Magic: Time Difference Band, which made time around him speed up or slow down unpredictably.

Ch. 439Ring of Time Leap

Lu Cang learned from Izpalut how to escape the repetitive timelines and received the time-based Origin Magic Ring of Time Leap. He chose to return to September 13, 5025, the day he first met Mese, hoping to investigate the mysteries surrounding Pali, Mese, and the fortune-teller.

  • Lu Cang and Izpalut studied time magic, and Izpalut confirmed that time continued to pass in Lu Cang’s original timeline while he was caught in resets.
  • Lu Cang reset to March 23 again, then used clues from Izpalut’s Arcane research to help him recover and advance his discoveries across repeated timelines.
  • Izpalut created the Ring of Time Leap, which let Lu Cang jump directly to an earlier point in his timeline instead of enduring each reset day by day.
  • Lu Cang activated the Ring of Time Leap and chose September 13, 5025, the day he had met Mese, intending to seek answers about Pali and the mysterious fortune-teller.

Ch. 440The Diviner

After resetting time, Lu Cang used a future rehearsal to investigate Pali and discovered she was a level-nine diviner who hoped to reach level ten through him. Pali revealed that Lu Cang had become separate from Fate, making all destined outcomes uncertain, while his own ending remained unseen.

  • Lu Cang returned to Rhein Town with his strength and memories intact, then located Mese and Pali using his perception.
  • Lu Cang activated God-Tier Future Rehearsal and Unsolvable Mystery before meeting Pali in the library.
  • Pali recognized Lu Cang and asked whether he was ready to accept True Fate; he took her hand to learn her identity.
  • Lu Cang discovered that Pali was Erl Ripani, a level-nine Diviner with the God-Tier True Fate Eye.
  • Pali explained that she had staked her hope of reaching level ten on Lu Cang, whose existence had become independent of Fate and made every destined future uncertain.

Ch. 441Dispelling Doubts

Lu Cang questioned Pali about fate, his time reset, and Earth, learning how her divination interacted with his God-Tier Talent and what the Astral Realm was. Pali explained the origins of the Void and the Astral Realm as experiments by Perga, leaving Lu Cang with more to learn about his connection to the Tree of Wisdom.

  • Lu Cang asked Pali what she wanted him to change, and she said diviners observed fate and charged a price for divination.
  • Lu Cang saw visions of the Abyss of Falling spreading across the Moon Sea and monsters hunting humans, while Pali said most futures were ordained and he was an exceptional variable.
  • Pali revealed that she knew Lu Cang came from Earth, was connected to the Tree of Wisdom, and was speaking to her in a simulated timeline.
  • Pali explained that Lu Cang's time reset would end when he reached the beginning of his timeline, before his birth, and said his God-Tier Talent affected powers below the level of the source.
  • Lu Cang asked whether he could save Earth and what had happened to it, and Pali described Earth as a planet in the Astral Realm, which served as an unusual cultivation vessel.
  • Pali explained that the Void had formed from Perga's failed ideal world, whose surviving lifeforms became the Void Creatures, and that the Astral Realm was Perga's new experiment in evolving worlds and life.

Ch. 442The Answer

In the Future Simulation, Pali told Lu Cang that Earth was one of many test subjects and explained how Ekhatol of Time had become a level 9 Time Controller. After the simulation ended, Lu Cang returned to his room and resumed the timeline, where Meise followed him on his way back.

  • Pali suggested Lu Cang might be a hollow shell and explained that spirituality came from the Tree of Wisdom.
  • Pali revealed that Earth was a test subject in the Astral Realm and that Bai had destroyed Earth and the Secret Sea in Lu Cang's true timeline.
  • Pali said Ekhatol was born a hundred million years ago, became a level 9 Time Controller, and attempted to reach level 10 before leaving behind a single path.
  • Pali refused to explain what happened next, telling Lu Cang to ask the person behind the door or pay her one trillion gold coins.
  • The Future Simulation ended, and Lu Cang returned to his small room, wondering whether Pali had arranged his transport to the Secret Sea.
  • After resetting to the timeline, Lu Cang rescued Loth and the others that afternoon, visited the Adventurers' Hotel, and sensed Meise following him in formalwear.

Ch. 443The Second Time He Met Mese

Lu Cang confronted Mese, discovered that Mese was resisting corruption and had a way to remove it, and sealed him away after their clash. The next day, Pali had disappeared and the Demonic Tide struck Loren as Iz and the others returned after rescuing hundreds of cities.

  • Mese approached Lu Cang and offered him spells, but Lu Cang quickly learned them and challenged Mese about his corruption.
  • Mese attacked Lu Cang with blood-red chains and soul magic, but Lu Cang broke his spells and invaded his Sea of Consciousness.
  • Lu Cang found a protected awareness inside Mese's Sea of Consciousness, realized Mese had sought help to remove the corruption, and withdrew without breaking through to it.
  • Lu Cang shattered Mese's attacks and imprisoned him inside a Seal, telling him to stay there for now.
  • The next day, Pali had disappeared and the Demonic Tide opened countless rifts across southern Loren.
  • Iz and the others headed back after rescuing hundreds of cities from monster attacks.

Ch. 444Insect Nest

Lu Cang captured the intelligent insect king Nie Ye, learned that the Insect Nest had ordered the invasion, and entered a rift in a Future Simulation. He discovered the rift led to a vast one-way insect stronghold and sensed Iz nearby.

  • Lu Cang questioned Nie Ye, snapped its tail, and forced it to reveal that the Insect Nest had ordered the attack and targeted Izpalut, Chicheng, and Kumiloni.
  • Lu Cang sealed Nie Ye and used a Future Simulation to enter the rift, where he found a barren world filled with enormous hive-like structures and swarms of insects.
  • Lu Cang fought through the insect swarms and saw human-shaped figures pass through a distant rift before the insects obscured them.
  • Lu Cang discovered that the rift was designed for monsters to exit and would disintegrate anyone trying to return through it.
  • Lu Cang sensed a familiar wave of magic power like his own and realized Iz was fighting somewhere nearby.

Ch. 445Phase Spider

Lu Cang found Izpalut in the insect nest and agreed to help him investigate the rifts. They traced the rifts to a Phase Spider hanging above the nest.

  • Lu Cang flew through Izpalut’s spreading elemental magic and reached him amid the swarms.
  • Lu Cang showed Iz the arcane runes, and Iz understood that Lu Cang had come from a previous time reset.
  • Iz explained that he wanted to study the rifts and asked Lu Cang to help, despite the possibility of ninth-tier monsters nearby.
  • Iz arranged the rifts, which burst open and released insects covered in spatial runes.
  • Lu Cang used Secret Origin to identify the insects as Phase Worms and traced their origin to the Phase Spider above the nest.

Ch. 446The Swarm: Phase Legion

Chicheng and Kumiloni found Rhein Town unharmed and its Devilish Creatures already dead, while Iz and Lu Cang fought their way through the hive toward the source of its rifts. Lu Cang discovered an armored eighth-tier Phase Mantis and glimpsed the Phase Grandmother, realizing the hive they had entered might be only one part of a much larger whole.

  • Chicheng and Kumiloni returned to Rhein Town, found its people unharmed, and noticed that Lu Cang was missing.
  • Iz and Lu Cang traveled through the hive, killed insects, and rescued adventurers near the rifts as they searched for the rifts’ source.
  • Iz and Lu Cang realized the hive was using their attacks to help its insects evolve and become resistant to magic.
  • Lu Cang froze time to counter an armored eighth-tier Phase Mantis, then poisoned it with his retained God-Tier Disaster of Poison.
  • Lu Cang identified the Phase Mantis as part of the Insect Second Legion and saw the Phase Grandmother producing eggs that hatched into several kinds of Phase insects.
  • Lu Cang concluded that the hive might be only part of a larger hive, with many others possibly existing in the world.
