Ch. 447Phase Shuttle

Lu Cang marked a Phase Mantis, drove it mad, and watched Izpalut capture it by removing a pocket of space. After studying the insect, Izpalut developed a new spell, Phase Shuttle.

  • Lu Cang learned that the Phase Mantis had been equipped by the Fourth Legion of Insects and used its short Death Date to help bring it near death.
  • Lu Cang marked the Phase Mantis with Heart Shadow Imprint, then used Disoriented Chaos and Madness Poison to send it into a frenzy.
  • The maddened Phase Mantis flashed through space, killing insects along its path, while Lu Cang and Izpalut tracked its movements.
  • The Phase Mantis returned and attacked Izpalut, who trapped it in a pocket of emptiness and sealed it.
  • After examining the Phase Mantis, Izpalut cast a spell that opened a passage and gained Tier 6 Origin Magic: Phase Shuttle.

Ch. 448The Great Nest

Lu Cang and Iz reached the enormous insect nest and found an intelligent Phase Spider, which they trapped after learning about its abilities and purpose. They prepared to question it, with every escape route sealed.

  • Iz and Lu Cang used Phase Shuttle to travel through the insect nest and searched for the Phase Spider.
  • They reached the vast nest in the sky, mimicked the insects’ auras, and followed the crystalline threads to the Phase Spider’s web.
  • The Phase Spider attacked Lu Cang with Phase Slash and tried to strike him, but Lu Cang shattered its raised legs.
  • Lu Cang learned that the Phase Spider came from the Phase Grandmother and was created to weave passages for the insect nest.
  • The Phase Spider tried to flee, but Izpalut blocked its escape, and Lu Cang and Iz surrounded it to ask questions.

Ch. 449Legion Deployment

Lu Cang interrogated a captured Phase Spider in the War Lair and learned how the insect nests organized their legions and spread independent thought. He realized the nests could pose a devastating threat if they invaded the present world.

  • Iz severed the Phase Spider’s remaining legs with Misaligned Space Slash while Lu Cang demanded that it answer his questions.
  • Lu Cang influenced the Phase Spider’s mind, and it revealed that this was a War Lair, one of at least a hundred war nests, where it built passages for the Bug Lord.
  • The Phase Spider said it had been born in the Mother Nest and described six legions responsible for guarding, transportation, construction, forging, breeding, and combat.
  • The Phase Spider said the Bug Lord’s growing spiritual nature was causing more insects to think independently, and it believed all of them might eventually gain that ability.
  • Lu Cang considered how the insect nests and other hostile nests could overwhelm the present world unless the gods and Ninth-Tier Class-changers helped humanity.

Ch. 450Teleportation

Izpalut learned Phase Point and Phase Teleportation from the Phase Spider, then used the new magic to take Lu Cang and the others to the Time Ruins in the Moon Sea. There, Kumiloni tried to communicate with the presence behind the door, and a clear female voice answered, “Who?”

  • Izpalut analyzed the Phase Spider’s magic and created a Phase Teleportation passage.
  • Lu Cang ended the simulation, and Chicheng and Iz returned to Rhein Town, where the monsters had been dealt with.
  • Lu Cang shared the future information and newly learned spells with Iz, and Kumiloni chose to trust her companions over Sophia.
  • Iz opened a passage to the Moon Sea, bringing the group to the Valley of Emptiness and the Time Ruins.
  • At the door, Kumiloni sensed a presence and tried to speak with it; many lingering thoughts echoed before a female voice asked who she was.

Ch. 451Conversation

Kumiloni and the others spoke with Ekhatol through a door while trying to understand why Lu Cang was trapped in a time loop. After Iz and Chicheng challenged her doubts about whether their world was real, Ekhatol invited them to enter.

  • Kumiloni explained that they had come because their companion was trapped in an endless time loop, and Ekhatol questioned why they had entered despite knowing the risk.
  • Iz considered how the ruins' time resets affected people and suspected his future self had caused Lu Cang's loop.
  • Ekhatol suggested that everyone except Lu Cang might exist only in a simulation and would disappear if he returned to his world.
  • Iz insisted that he trusted his own judgment, and Chicheng said he could accept the risk of disappearing while asking whether Ekhatol was troubled by the same fear.
  • After a long silence, Ekhatol asked whether they wanted to enter and tentatively said they might be able to.

Ch. 452The One and Only Timeline

Lu Cang and his companions entered the space beyond the door and learned from Ekhatol why she had created and sealed countless branching timelines. As the main timeline was being fixed, Ekhatol and her other possible selves were disappearing, and she explained that time’s singularity had to be preserved.

  • The door melted away, and Lu Cang, Iz, and their companions saw multiple timelines and reflections of themselves beyond it.
  • Lu Cang asked Ekhatol whether she believed she was unreal, and she explained that only one version of her could remain once the main timeline was fixed.
  • Ekhatol revealed that she had split time into countless branches out of curiosity, then sealed them when she realized they would all converge on the destruction of spacetime.
  • Ekhatol said she was correcting the branching timelines, even though she and the other versions of herself would disappear when the original timeline was restored.
  • Ekhatol explained that multiple timelines would disrupt divination, entangle spacetimes, and interfere with singularity and the chance to ascend to godhood.

Ch. 453Take Her Away

Lu Cang learned that Ekhatol’s release could bring another timeline into the main world, while conflicting versions of her fought over whether she should leave. As more Ekhatols broke into the timeline and time itself fell into chaos, Lu Cang faced pressure to decide whether to free her.

  • Lu Cang learned that the uniqueness of divine positions caused different timelines to affect one another, and that Ekhatol had sealed time to leave only one timeline outside.
  • Ekhatol asked Lu Cang to help her leave, explaining that she would bring a timeline with her, while other versions of her insisted she must stay.
  • Ekhatol warned Lu Cang that he could not return to normal space-time easily unless he took her away and broke her restriction.
  • An opposing Ekhatol attacked Lu Cang with an eighth-tier time spell, but Izpalut weakened and dismantled it.
  • Ekhatol stopped time and demanded that Lu Cang break her restriction, but another Ekhatol shattered the stasis and appeared before him, ordering him to return.

Ch. 454Escape

Lu Cang escaped the time prison with Ekhatol, who had been trapped there for a hundred million years. After returning to the present, he learned from a letter that Iz and the others had gone to Boundless Mountain, while they urged him to return if he had resolved his problem.

  • Lu Cang freed Ekhatol and took her through the door, escaping the time prison as a month passed outside.
  • Ekhatol returned to the world and explained that she had used her Eternal Life Technique of Time to endure her imprisonment.
  • Lu Cang opened a Phase Passage, and he and Ekhatol traveled to Knoroya, where she noticed the sea had changed since her time.
  • Lu Cang returned to his mansion and found a letter saying Iz and the others had gone to Boundless Mountain to explore its Forbidden Zone of Life.

Ch. 455The Cause

Lu Cang traveled to the future to learn how Lomo transformed Earth’s people into monsters, then tracked Lomo down in the Sea Abyss. He attacked Lomo before the ritual began, determined to kill him and vent his anger.

  • Lu Cang and Ekhatol traveled through time to January 28 and arrived on Earth, where Lu Cang sensed that its people were still human.
  • Lu Cang used Future Simulation to learn that Lomo had performed a Spirit and Flesh mutation ritual on Earth, turning everyone into monsters.
  • Lu Cang left Earth and opened a Phase Passage to appear directly in front of Lomo in the Sea Abyss.
  • Lu Cang unleashed Elemental Primordialization, Elemental Myriad Manifestations, and ninth-tier Elemental magic against Lomo while slowing time.

Ch. 456Return

Lu Cang used 9th Tier elemental magic to kill Lomo, then asked Ekhatol why his condition had not changed after the reset. After Ekhatol offered a possible explanation, she helped him return, and he arrived before a giant tree made of flowing light.

  • Lu Cang unleashed 9th Tier elemental magic across the Sea Abyss and killed Lomo, who begged for mercy.
  • After his mana ran low, Lu Cang reflected that he had learned eighty-six 9th Tier Elemental Magic spells.
  • Ekhatol noticed that Lu Cang had suffered no lasting price from using the Original Forbidden Magic, and suggested a law might be keeping him unchanged through resets.
  • Lu Cang decided to return to the real world as soon as possible because he feared a greater danger could arrive before he had time to grow stronger.
  • Ekhatol snapped her fingers to help Lu Cang return, and he found himself facing a dazzling giant tree formed from streams of flowing light.

Ch. 457Taking a Branch from the Tree of Wisdom

Lu Cang reached the Tree of Wisdom and discovered that most of it had been hollowed out by plundering over tens of millions of years. He took a branch from the tree and placed it in his sea of consciousness.

  • Ekhatol appeared with Lu Cang before the Tree of Wisdom, where he explained that it was the origin point of spiritual life.
  • Lu Cang used Deepest Truth to see that most of the tree was an illusion and showed Ekhatol what he perceived.
  • Lu Cang previewed approaching the few intact parts of the tree and found that touching one increased his spirituality as the tree slowly repaired itself.
  • Lu Cang cut off a branch in the preview and saw that nothing retaliated.
  • Lu Cang repeated the action in reality and placed a branch of the Tree of Wisdom in his sea of consciousness.

Ch. 458Not a Single One Left

Lu Cang and Ekhatol traveled through the Tree of Wisdom’s remains as Lu Cang gathered its branches into his sea of consciousness. He reached the Highest Leaf and took it too, leaving the Tree completely empty.

  • Ekhatol questioned Lu Cang about putting a branch of the Tree of Wisdom in his sea of consciousness, and he said she could try it herself.
  • Lu Cang used Phase Shuttle to collect dozens of branches while Ekhatol followed and asked him questions.
  • Lu Cang traveled for another half day to reach the distant Highest Leaf, whose abilities seemed similar to some of his own powers and to Izpalut’s talents.
  • Lu Cang sent the Highest Leaf into his sea of consciousness, leaving no branches or leaves behind.

Ch. 459Time Returned

Lu Cang left the Tree of Wisdom with Ekhatol and reviewed the past to investigate the ritual that had sent him to the Secret Sea. After deciding he was too weak to confront its mysterious creator, he used Time Leap as the May 18 reset approached, preparing to return to his original timeline.

  • Lu Cang asked Ekhatol to send him back, and she fast-forwarded through his life until he reached the Secret Sea.
  • Lu Cang remembered he had not investigated who transported him there, so Ekhatol replayed the moment before he was blown away at the airport.
  • Lu Cang traced the ritual beneath the ground to an illusory, black-hooded figure, but Secret Origin revealed no information about its identity.
  • Ekhatol determined that the ritual had been created before Lu Cang was born and had recently evolved on its own.
  • Lu Cang abandoned the search because the ritual's creator might be a god or Moon Star, and he risked being killed if he sought them out.
  • As May 18 and the reset arrived, Lu Cang and Ekhatol cast Time Leap, and Lu Cang sensed he could return to his original timeline.

Ch. 460Ten Years

Lu Cang returned to the normal timeline after bidding farewell to Ekhatol and discovered that he had grown into an eighteen-year-old. He emerged into a Moon Sea corrupted by the Abyss of Falling, where a group of arrogant monsters confronted him.

  • Lu Cang and Ekhatol said goodbye as the Ring of Time Leap began sending Lu Cang back to his own time-space.
  • Lu Cang arrived in an azure passage and found that his body had grown into that of an eighteen-year-old, with both wishes restored.
  • Lu Cang adjusted to his changed body, confirmed the passage led outside, and walked through it despite being unable to use Future Simulation.
  • Lu Cang emerged onto the surface of the sea and realized the Valley of Emptiness had disappeared and the Moon Sea had been corrupted by the Abyss of Falling.
  • Monsters burst from the dark ocean and mocked Lu Cang, with a toad-headed creature demanding that he kneel and beg for mercy.

Ch. 461Land of Seeing the Moon

Lu Cang discovered that intelligent monsters had conquered much of the Moon Sea and used his Origin Magic to defeat a group of toads. After gathering clues about the remaining human resistance, he headed north and reached the Land of Seeing the Moon.

  • Lu Cang killed a talking Tier 4 toad and learned that monsters had seized large areas of the Moon Sea, while the Moon Yi Kingdom had surrendered.
  • Lu Cang unleashed Tier 6 Origin Magic—Origin Dye, wiping out the attacking toads except for one, which he sealed for study.
  • Lu Cang traveled through the Moon Sea, found islands and the continent of Missilshu overrun by monsters, and gathered information from them.
  • Lu Cang learned that the Land of Seeing the Moon remained the Moon Sea's last human stronghold, with resistance fighters taking refuge there.
  • After two days heading north, Lu Cang spotted the pristine white island known as the Land of Seeing the Moon.

Ch. 462Stride Alone

Lu Cang reached the Land of Seeing the Moon, where Loren’s forces were fighting off a monster invasion, and discovered that King Lotdan was present. After saving the defenders from the attacking monsters, Lu Cang appeared in Lotdan’s palace and confronted the royal guards.

  • Lu Cang saw Loren’s flag flying over the Land of Seeing the Moon and used a Phase Shuttle passage to enter its walls.
  • Lu Cang found the defenses collapsing under a monster invasion and used Infinite Hunter Chaos Shadow and Gapless Darkness to slaughter the invading monsters.
  • Lu Cang sensed a Tier 8 Warrior guarding the city but learned that the defenders’ strategy relied on battle to cultivate powerhouses.
  • Lu Cang entered Lotdan’s palace, shattered two guards’ blades, and sent royal guard commander Broer crashing into a wall.

Ch. 463Good Fortune

Lu Cang reunited with Lotdan in the Land of Seeing the Moon and agreed to stay in the realm, offering to help against the Devilish Creatures if necessary. After learning how his magical theories had spread during his decade away, Lu Cang settled into a manor and began the ritual to advance his mage rank.

  • Lotdan recognized Lu Cang and explained that the Land of Seeing the Moon faced increasingly fierce Devilish Creature attacks.
  • Lotdan offered Lu Cang any reward he wanted if he would help defend the realm, while courtiers discussed Lu Cang's reputation as a pioneer of magic.
  • Lu Cang learned that his magic had become widespread during his absence, while his combat techniques remained known to fewer people.
  • Lu Cang agreed to stay in the realm for an uncertain length of time and help if needed, then rented a manor in the city.
  • Lu Cang performed the Mage Promotion Ritual, causing the Source's reflection to appear in the sky.

Ch. 464God-tier Absolute Sea of Magic Power

Lu Cang completed his promotion by demonstrating Original Forbidden Magic, then awakened the God-tier Absolute Sea of Magic Power talent. The sea expanded across millions of kilometers as his magic power rose to billions of times its previous level.

  • Lu Cang sensed how widely his spells and magical theories had spread, strengthening his connection to the Source.
  • Lu Cang cast Seventh Forbidden Magic—Element, and countless mages in the Land of Seeing the Moon witnessed the display and deepened their understanding of the Source.
  • Lu Cang completed his promotion and acquired the Forbidden Spellcaster and Myriad Spellcaster class masteries.
  • Lu Cang's Magic Expansion talent evolved into God-tier Absolute Sea of Magic Power, granting limitless magic power and new control over spells within the sea.
  • Lu Cang expanded the sea of magic power across millions of kilometers, and his reserves grew to several billion times their previous level.

Ch. 465More Than a Hundred Moon Star Realms of Awareness

Lu Cang expanded the Absolute Sea of Magic Power across the Land of Seeing the Moon, becoming a Level 6 Mage with immense power and awareness of 120 Moon Star Realms. After using that awareness to strengthen his combat techniques, he found Ansu still asleep in his sea of consciousness and feared the temporal blessing might keep him unreachable for an immense span of time.

  • Lu Cang expanded the Absolute Sea of Magic Power, empowered a Fireball with a hundred million units of magic power, and extended his senses across a range of nearly twenty million kilometers.
  • Lu Cang settled in the Land of Seeing the Moon and chose to level up rather than immediately advance further.
  • Lu Cang reviewed the changes across the ten years of Moon Star Realms of Awareness, including Aromochi's victory and the decline of the Skin Stealers after Aertemi's defeat.
  • Lu Cang applied the awareness of the Moon Stars to his combat techniques, strengthening his body, speed, evasiveness, and attacks.
  • Lu Cang found Ansu still asleep in his sea of consciousness and realized his blessing of eternal life through time might keep him unreachable for a very long time.

Ch. 466The Culprit: Euynri?

Lu Cang expanded the Sea of Magic and discovered that the Moon Sea held more than a hundred powerful eighth-tier Abyssal monsters. He overheard a Gray Mask explain that Lord Euynri’s research had awakened the monsters, leaving Lu Cang to suspect Euynri was behind the threat.

  • Lu Cang reflected on Ansu’s disappearance, considered raising his classes, and resolved to search for Izpalut, Luluwei, and the others.
  • Lu Cang expanded the Sea of Magic to a radius of over a billion kilometers and used it to sense everything within its reach.
  • Lu Cang counted at least 122 eighth-tier Abyssal monsters, far outnumbering the Land of Seeing the Moon’s seventeen seventh-level fighters and its lone level-eight Warrior, Luga.
  • Three hundred million kilometers from the Land of Seeing the Moon, a fly-faced monster asked the Gray Mask why they had not conquered the city.
  • The Gray Mask said Lord Euynri’s research had set the monsters on the path of evolution, prompting Lu Cang to suspect Euynri had awakened their intelligence.
