Kitasan Black clearly understood the arrangements for preparing for the Spring Stakes.
However, she still asked Anjing Zhen to stay a little longer. She wanted to organize everything herself, then go for a trial run on the track. That way, if any new questions came up, she could ask him right away.

Before Kitasan Black, Anjing Zhen had never coached another Horse Girl.
Yet based on some experiences from his school days, he could tell that this black haired girl of his had the makings of an excellent student.
Being quick to grasp things was certainly one sign, but a more concrete one was her diligent study habits.

She did not just say it for show. Whether in training, studying, or following pre-race instructions, if she could not do something once, she would do it twice. If twice was not enough, she would do it ten times.
And if she still could not do it after ten times, she had gone on to do it dozens or even hundreds of times.
Since they first met, Anjing Zhen had seen this more than once.
In Anjing Zhen's eyes, that did indeed make her a top student.
Not the genius type of top student who said, "I know how to solve this problem."
Instead, she was the hardworking kind who honestly and steadily said, "I've done this problem before."
And when they arrived at Nakayama Racecourse the next day, Kitasan Black still did not slack off.
Her race was the day's eleventh and final event, scheduled for 3:25 in the afternoon.
