For some reason, Anjing Zhen's words sounded no different from usual to Kitasan Black, yet they immediately put her at ease.
They also filled her with even firmer confidence in the upcoming race.
Holding onto that resolve, she gratefully and happily said goodnight, then fell into a deep sleep.
As the opening race of the Triple Crown and one of the most prestigious races of all, the Satsuki Sho was naturally scheduled as the finale, the eleventh race of the afternoon.
Before that, the morning and afternoon were reserved for final preparations and the Paddock.
Unlike previous races, a separate venue had been arranged for interviews before the Paddock session of this G1 Race.
The Satsuki Sho entrants stood on the stage, while eager-looking reporters filled the space below. The entire venue was as lively as a press conference.
After finishing her individual interview, Kitasan Black walked down the corridor toward the Paddock. Looking through the windows at the bustling crowd streaming through the stands, she clenched one hand excitedly into a fist while grabbing Satono Crown's hand with the other, saying excitedly:
"Wow! This is just like what I saw on TV before! This... is a G1 Race!"
"Alright, alright, calm down, Little Kita..."
Amused, Satono Crown glanced at Kitasan Black, then looked toward the stands, amazement flashing in her eyes.
"Though it's true. I think I saw spectators coming in when I got up for breakfast this morning..."
"This is a G1, after all!"
Kitasan Black said as though it were only natural:
"The spectators Crown-chan mentioned must have stayed up all night lining up outside the track!"
Satono Crown was rendered speechless at once.
"What you're describing... is obviously you and Diamond, isn't it? Honestly, you two are really bold, camping out overnight outside the racetrack..."
