Matters
At the start of training the next day, Kitasan Black felt that Anjing Zhen's arrangements sounded no different from before.
For instance, she had undergone weight training before.
But back then, the weight setup had not been complicated. All she needed was to fit her running shoes with weighted horseshoes that had been adjusted beforehand.
This time, however, she had to wear specialized weighted equipment, professionally known as a "Modular Full-Body Weighted Suit."
This specialized suit used technologies such as an aviation-grade aluminum frame, memory foam lining, bionic honeycomb leg guards, and hydraulic cushioning straps. It could regulate the weight on every part of the body and distribute the load evenly across her entire body, preventing any single area from bearing too much weight and risking injury.
Wearing this equipment and combining it with the corresponding training methods, Kitasan Black quickly realized that while the schedule looked no different, the actual experience was completely unlike before.
The early and middle stages of training were manageable. Whether it was the combination of fast runs and slow jogs, or the extra energy expenditure and power-efficiency work, she completed every part meticulously.
But during the interval training in the final stage, she almost instantly felt the protest brought on by Lactic Acid Accumulation.
The same track, the same distance, the same method—yet her breathing was noticeably heavier, her body and limbs moved mechanically, and even her heartbeat felt more burdensome.
By the time the interval training reached its sixth set, she could feel her sweat striking the grass in thick, heavy drops. Her vision had begun to blur, and even her steps were growing unsteady.
Even then, she chose to persist. The prearranged task was a full eight sets, and this was only the sixth. She absolutely could not admit defeat here.
