A-Zhen Was Like a Child
Even before Anjing Zhen explained, Almond Eye had been full of curiosity about the new training method. Now that she had heard him out, she quickly asked:
"I know, I know. I actually looked some of this up before, so I roughly understand how it works. Senior Little Kita told me about it too!
"But... can you really train alongside us in this kind of training, A-Zhen? I heard from the seniors that you actually managed to keep up with some incredibly strong seniors that day!"
Her tone shifted from boundless admiration to a hint of doubt, but Anjing Zhen and Kitasan Black both understood why.
It was common knowledge that the speed of Horse Girls was far beyond anything humans could match.
Precisely because of that, their racing system had always been designed separately, and they had never normally competed against humans.
If there were any examples, they would only be in entertainment programs, such as promotional events before the Japanese Derby.
Yet even in those less strict and formal races, no human had ever been heard of defeating a Horse Girl. Anjing Zhen's performance might well have been the first unprecedented case.
"Of course it's true. The Trainer is really amazing."
Amused by Almond Eye's expression, Kitasan Black could not help rubbing her head. She said confidently, "I'm certain that if it were a real steeplechase, the Trainer would perform even better."
"I'm not doubting him, it's just..."
Almond Eye sheepishly touched the top of her head where it had been rubbed and smiled.
"It's just that you know better than anyone, Senior. Our physical abilities are much stronger than the Trainer's, so... so...
"Oh, right! I just want to see exactly how amazing A-Zhen is!"
"I'll let you see for yourself."
