At present, the most important matter facing Fuxi was finding a source of food for the clan members.
One day, Fuxi set out with the hunting party. Along the way, they discovered a valley.
The valley was surrounded by mountains on all sides and had an excellent environment. Many wild beasts lived within it, and Fuxi even saw some of them breeding there.
Suddenly, an idea sprang up in Fuxi's mind. If they enclosed this valley and prevented the wild beasts from leaving, allowing them to remain there and continuously breed, would they not have an endless supply of prey?
As long as they only took an appropriate number of beasts each time and did not let the beasts there go extinct, would that not solve the tribe's food problem?
Once this thought appeared, it became impossible to suppress. Fuxi stopped hunting with the main party and hurried back to the tribe. He led a group of clan members to clear an open space within the tribe, then used large amounts of Spirit Wood and mountain rocks to enclose it.
Afterward, he led the clan members back to the valley and captured many wild beasts. This time, however, they did not kill them, but instead released them into the enclosed space.
Every day, Fuxi led a group of clan members to find food for these wild beasts. At first, the beasts were disobedient and even damaged the fences at times.
But as time passed, the beasts seemed to grow accustomed to the food provided by the Human Race and gradually lived and bred there.
