Final Thoughts

It's finished.

This book didn't do well, and I wrote it on and off for a long time, updating at a snail's pace. Many other authors probably would have dropped it long ago.

I did consider dropping it.

But one day, I suddenly saw a sentence: "If you don't write, your protagonist will have no future. If you don't write, your supporting characters will have no hope. You gave them life, so you must give them an ending worthy of their turbulent lives."

Even if the writing wasn't good, a story should still have an ending, no matter what that ending might be.

Strictly speaking, this book had already strayed from the tone of Warhammer. I had no foundation in literary creation, so I couldn't write Warhammer's grand narratives—its darkness, the struggle of humanity amid despair, those scenes of people gladly marching to their deaths even when they knew death was certain.

But at least I persevered and finished it. A lot happened while I was writing this book. I thought about many things, wrote and deleted, deleted and wrote, until in the end, only these few words remained.

Forget it. Let's end it here. Thank you to all the readers who supported me along the way.

The road ahead is long. If fate allows, we'll meet again.
