"Phew." Ye Mo took a deep breath. If he had guessed correctly, the Millennial Fox Martial Soul should be connected to the little girl before him.

Moreover, he felt a sense of familiarity from her. But if that was the case, what was this little girl's purpose?

Before he could think further, the Millennial Fox Martial Soul inside him let out a long howl. Centered on Ye Mo, the sound spread directly throughout the entire Star Dou Great Forest.

Then, streaks of purple light emerged behind Ye Mo.

In the past, the Millennial Fox Martial Soul had always appeared rather insubstantial, except during that Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony. This time, however, it seemed to have returned to the form it had taken at the ceremony. Its entire body radiated an intense purple glow and was incomparably solid.

"So you're the one bound by fate." The little girl spoke happily, as though she had known all along.

"I..." Before Ye Mo could say anything, his vision suddenly blurred. His consciousness gradually grew hazy, and his head felt as heavy as if it had been filled with lead.

"Sorry, but you'll have to sleep for a while now."

A cool, pleasant voice rang out, completely different from the soft, immature voice from before.

Ye Mo struggled to raise his head. What entered his sight was no longer a little girl, but a young maiden.

The young maiden gently stroked Ye Mo's face, but her gaze was fixed on the Millennial Fox Martial Soul.

The young maiden chuckled. Her pair of beautiful purple eyes became especially lovely when she smiled. She withdrew her gaze and turned it toward Ye Mo, looking him over from head to toe. Suddenly, her smile froze, and her eyes locked onto his right arm.

Rip! The young maiden roughly tore open the sleeve on Ye Mo's right arm.

The Nine-Tails fox tattoo was immediately exposed to the air. At this moment, it seemed to have come alive. A faint white glow covered the tattoo, making it appear indistinct and flickering.

"You damn dragon, what do you think you're doing?" A cold shout rang out from nowhere. It was Nine-Tails' voice.

"What am I doing? We're old friends. Don't tell me you don't know what I want to do." The young maiden's expression turned somewhat cold.

Nine-Tails fell silent for a moment. "The mission he bears is already heavy enough. He simply has no way to accomplish what you want. And you know perfectly well how dangerous the thing you want to do is. If anything goes wrong..."

"From the moment he was born, this was his fate—the destiny between him and me." The young maiden spoke calmly, as though she did not take the danger Nine-Tails mentioned to heart at all.

"You'll die. Both you and he may die!" Nine-Tails said angrily.

"Death? If dying can truly accomplish that matter, then what is there to fear?" A trace of melancholy appeared on the young maiden's face, and her voice became distant and ethereal.

"You crazy woman, think about it! If neither you nor he succeeds and you both lose your lives, would that be worth it?"

"Enough. Whether it's worth it or not, so what? My mind is made up." The young maiden spoke with determination.

"Sigh, you're still as stubborn as you were back then. But what are you planning to do next? Could it be..." Nine-Tails' voice turned startled toward the end, as though she had already guessed what the young maiden intended.

"As expected of an old friend. You guessed what I want to do so quickly." The young maiden chuckled, her gaze fixed tightly on Ye Mo.

After a long while, Nine-Tails' voice drifted over. "You really are a perverted crazy woman—no, a crazy dragon."

"Same to you. The crazy things you've done are no less outrageous than mine." The young maiden glanced at the Nine-Tails fox tattoo on Ye Mo's arm and spoke blandly.

"Speaking of that, you and I truly are the same kind." Nine-Tails replied evenly, without the slightest embarrassment at having been exposed.

The young maiden ignored Nine-Tails and released a powerful wave of Soul Power from behind her. The wave enveloped the entire Star Dou Great Forest.

"Have you thought this through? If you do this, it means your lives and deaths will be bound together. This will become an unbreakable bond between you two," Nine-Tails said solemnly.

"You're so noisy." The young maiden did not even raise her head as powerful Soul Power surged into Ye Mo's body.

The Millennial Fox Martial Soul behind the young maiden understood her intent and transformed into a streak of purple light that entered Ye Mo's body.

"My Lord, please reconsider this matter!" A middle-aged man's voice rang throughout the Star Dou Great Forest. Immediately afterward, an enormous figure appeared in the core region.

It had a dragon-like body, its massive form covered in black scales, with a pair of huge wings spread behind it.

Its golden pupils carried an aura capable of destroying heaven and earth.

This was the Beast God, Di Tian.

"Go back." The young maiden ignored him and continued concentrating on pouring Soul Power into Ye Mo's body.

"My Lord..."

"Do I need to say it a second time?" The young maiden suddenly turned her head. At that moment, her purple pupils seemed filled with overwhelming pressure.

Di Tian could not help but shudder. He unwillingly glanced at Ye Mo, then obediently returned to the Star Dou Great Forest.

As the young maiden's Soul Power poured in, Ye Mo's entire body became covered in a faint white glow. At the same time, deep within Ye Mo's sea of consciousness, the black-haired young maiden slowly opened her eyes. A trace of confusion unexpectedly flashed through her lifeless gaze.

Then she shook her head and closed her eyes again.

Immediately afterward, a beam of white light enveloped both the young maiden and Ye Mo. The young maiden's body slowly shrank, returning to the appearance she had when Ye Mo first met her.

"You damn fox, I'm giving myself to you. From now on, it's up to you."

Within the white halo, the little girl held Ye Mo and murmured softly, slowly closing her eyes. At last, the white halo spun several times in the air before descending toward the core region of the Star Dou Great Forest.
