Yesterday, I felt like I wasn't in the best shape. There were a lot of things I wanted to write but couldn't quite get down.
So I'm taking the day off today.
1: I'll fix a few minor details from the first early-game dungeon.
2: I'll correct typos throughout the book.
3: I'll add more details to the book as a whole. This won't affect the plot, so there's no need to go back and reread, but I hope it'll make things easier to follow for new readers.
4: I'll update the advancement-level list.
Actually, this table is the core of the outline and setting, so I shouldn't have posted it directly. But the system is so extensive that some questions will take a while to address in the story, so I decided to share it anyway as a reference. Since I didn't explain much at first, though, everyone probably couldn't tell what made each entry distinct. This morning, I added notes for every profession.
These notes just describe each profession's traits. For example, the chef series is all about eating: they gain abilities by eating. But that doesn't mean the character will necessarily behave that way in the book; it depends on the Cursed Objects they possess.
As everyone knows, tableware and kitchenware are Uncle Buck's favorite things. Different kitchen tools call for different ways of cooking.
Some people like their food fried, while others prefer it raw.
They're both eating mutton: the first gains a sheep's stamina, while the second comes down with sheep epilepsy.
So professions are just a general guide. What really matters is the Cursed Object in hand. The protagonist's Cursed Object is his Golden Finger; the Corpse Stitcher isn't. You have curse markings, and so does he, but a Corpse Stitcher without the Calamity Suppressing Token falls far behind.
Note: The Calamity Suppressing Token is not a unique item.
5: I'll get back on track and make a rough outline of the plot after the second dungeon.
This dungeon is pretty big, but it was only yesterday that I started drawing it into the main plot. Then I noticed a few small problems: I hadn't managed to bring out the dormitory's unique atmosphere. So today, I need to adjust the outline a little and see tonight whether this point of entry works.
6: Do my civic duty...
